Deadline is reporting that Disney has dropped its company-wide vaccine mandate for all of its US productions!
Showrunners can choose to keep the mandate in place for their own productions but the widespread mandate is gone. About 12 shows, including Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 (which shoot at the same studio as General Hospital), have already dropped the mandate for their sets. The rest of the Disney-owned productions are choosing to keep the mandate in place for the time being.
There is no word yet on if General Hospital is among the 12 or if the dropping of the mandate could lead to actors fired under it returning but we will keep you updated with news as we get it.
