Evan Hofer is celebrating his first anniversary on General Hospital.
Hofer made his debut as Dex Heller in a recurring capacity on May 5, 2022. He was later upped to contract that same year. He revealed on the “That’s Awesome!” podcast that he had auditioned for other roles at GH and the role of Dex was supposed to be for one to three months.
In Hofer’s introduction as Dex, it is revealed Dex was the manager at Volonino’s Gym while Chet (Chris Van Etten) was in the Middle East for the last few months. Dex is also a veteran, Chet tells Sonny. Dex queries Sonny about another position at the gym now that Chet is back in town. Later, a fight breaks out between two fighters in the ring, and Dex intervenes. Sonny is impressed by Dex’s behavior as he throws them out. Dex is instructed to meet him in his office later and was later hired by Sonny.
