Galen Gering, who plays Rafe Hernandez on Days of our Lives, is celebrating his 53rd birthday.
He was born as Galen Laius Gering on February 13, 1971, in sunny Los Angeles, California to Alan Gering and Michele de Onate. Fun fact: he’s of Russian decent on his father’s side and Basque from his mom’s side.
When he was 18, he bounced over to New York City, kicked off a modeling gig, and wrapped up high school. Then, he attended the University of Miami to dive into some creative writing and film studies. After that, he switched gears to acting and scored the role of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on ‘Passions’ in 1999, keeping it real until the show called it quits in 2008. He then jumped into the scene as Rafe Hernandez on ‘Days’ on October 31, 2008, and has been part of the show ever since.
