Soap fans, get ready to see a familiar face in primetime. General Hospital alum Drew Garrett, best known for playing Michael Corinthos before the role was taken over by Chad Duell and later Rory Gibson, is stepping into a whole new world of drama. Garrett is set to appear in tonight’s episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, titled “Under the Influence.”
Airing October 30 on NBC, the episode follows the SVU squad as they investigate an assault at a wild house party where no one seems to know who the attacker is—or maybe no one wants to say. When two suspects are brought in, Detective Rollins seizes the moment to pit one against the other in true SVU fashion.
Who Guest Stars on Law & Order: SVU
Joining Garrett in this episode as guest stars are Dennis Staroselsky as Marvin Gibbs and Chris Webster as Nathan Ellis.
Now in its remarkable 27th season, Law & Order: SVU continues to dive deep into complex, emotionally charged cases inspired by real-life headlines. The series, produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, first premiered back on September 20, 1999, and officially became the longest-running primetime live-action series in U.S. television history after its 21st season. It’s safe to say SVU has perfected the art of staying relevant—and riveting.
As for Drew Garrett, the General Hospital grad has kept busy since his soap days. The actor earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Michael Corinthos from 2009 to 2010. Since leaving Port Charles, Garrett has appeared on The Mentalist and taken on various film roles.
So if you’re in the mood for a little mystery, a little misdirection, and a familiar face from your soap-watching days, tune in tonight to see what happens when Drew Garrett goes from hospital drama to crime drama—SVU style.
