It’s a huge week for General Hospital fans, as a minor role is being recast. A new actress will take over the part of Greta, previously played by Carolyne Maraghi, and this change could bring a lot of drama
The role of Greta will now be played by Cecily Elliott. As reported by Soap Opera Digest, Elliot makes her debut this week as the courier who made her way to the Five Poppies Resorts in Croatia.
The character of Greta was introduced in July. During a scene at the Metro Court pool, she appeared to be working with Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) on whatever he’s been up to. As a courier, Greta picked up a backpack that Dalton dropped. Greta then headed to the airport, where Joss (Eden McCoy) and Vaughan (Bryce Durfee) followed her, and Vaughn placed a tag on her bag to track her flight to Croatia.

Later, Greta arrives in Croatia and hands the bag to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Greta hasn’t been seen since, but with this storyline being far from over, we’re sure she’ll fit into the puzzle very soon.
In other exciting casting news, Ryan Paevey is also on his way back to the show. The actor, who became popular during his run as Nathan West before his character was killed off in 2018, is set to begin filming this month, with his first scenes airing in September. However, he won’t be seen until September. Whether that is as a back-from-the-dead Nathan or as a new character, that remains to be seen.
