There’s no doubt that among the soap community, fans share a mutual disdain for Cameron Mathison’s General Hospital character, Drew Quartermaine. And understandably so, considering he’s not the Drew we all loved and knew, but he’s now wearing a villainous type of hat, sleeping with his nephew’s wife and her mother—oops! Meanwhile, Cameron Mathison in real life suffered a tragedy when the LA wildfire destroyed his home.
Nonetheless, Mathison was present for work the next day and had to film a scene where his colleague Laura Wright’s Carly Spencer was going to be yelling at him.
Both Mathison and Wright were among a few GH stars who appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Ahead of the talk show episode set for today, EW released a clip that showcases Mathison talking about Laura Wright apologizing to him before their Metro Court dramatic showdown. He revealed, “She came up and apologized first. My character has got reason to be yelled at at the moment!”
He added, “Laura was very sweet. She’s like, ‘I’m so sorry, but I’ve got to lay into you today after you just lost your house and everything you own.” On the subject matter, Wright noted, “I had to go up to Cameron, and I’m like, ‘Can I please hug you?’ Because I’m getting ready to start yelling in your face.” Check out the clip here!
