Chris Van Etten carries a very impressive resume. He’s new to daytime but has been a true warrior with an impressive survivor’s story. Etten is a Marine War Veteran who survived a very tragic situation back in 2012.
While in Afghanistan, his battalion ventured into one of the most dangerous areas on behalf of the U.S forces. He and his team went out on a night of combat patrol on a hill overlooking an Afghani village when the area succumbed to an improvised explosive devise. During their response effort, another improvised explosive device entered the area causing severe damages which include Etten losing both of his legs and one of his closest friends.
Etten, however, is not one to allow his circumstances to deter him. He is a lacrosse player, skier, marathoner and is also one of the faces of Jockey’s “Show ‘Em What’s Underneath” campaign. He has also ventured into underwear modeling, acting and motivational speaking as a double amputee individual.
Etten is from a military background as both of his parents met in the Air Force and are now retired. Now, Etten is taking on the role of Amy Driscoll’s (Risa Dorken) brother, Chet Driscoll on ‘General Hospital’. So far, he’s doing an excellent job and has already resonated well with ‘GH’ viewers. Thumbs up to this true warrior!
