There’s a small casting change happening in Port Charles this week. When viewers tune in to General Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, they’ll notice a different actress playing Scout Cain. According to Soap Opera Digest, Reagan Park is stepping into the role for a single episode. She fills in for Cosette Abinante, who was unavailable for filming that day.
While the change is only temporary, it arrives during a period of transition for the character.
A New Era for Scout Cain
Abinante has portrayed Scout, the daughter of Drew Cain and the late Sam McCall, since 2022.
However, her time in the role is coming to an end.
Following Park’s brief appearance, Scout will be permanently recast with Kayden Tokarkski, who is scheduled to make her debut this July.
Who Is Reagan Park?
Although her visit to Port Charles will be short, Park brings a diverse performance background to the role.
She is represented by Clear Talent Group’s Young People division in California and has built an impressive résumé through work in theater, short films, music videos, and commercial projects.
Some viewers may recognize her from her appearance in Loris Russier’s music video for “Tired of California” or from commercials for brands such as Lays Poppables.
On stage, Park has appeared in productions of Into the Woods, The Music Man, Shrek, and Seussical Jr.
More Than an Actress
Outside of acting, Park has developed a wide range of talents and interests.
She has trained with organizations including the Missoula Children’s Theatre and MET2 while also pursuing athletics and dance.
Her skills include gymnastics, hip-hop dance, jazz dance, swimming, ice skating, and western equestrian riding.
Park is also a Girl Scout and speaks Armenian fluently.
