Dante encourages her to not give up but then has to leave when he gets a call from the PCPD about Anna’s house fire.
Neddie comes to the pool to check on Olivia. She tells him that she is fine and thanks him for standing up for her with Mason. He apologizes for running out on her at the mansion but she understands. She assures him that she will never agree to commit him and tells him that she has accepted that her husband is gone and that he is Eddie Maine. Neddie thanks her, seeming to be intrigued by her change in attitude.
Sonny tells Betty that she has to bring Avery to his penthouse after camp and stay with her for a few hours because he has a meeting and won’t be home. After Betty leaves Sonny tells Dex that Brick is planting false information about his Pikeman deal on his laptop and that they are planting a USB drive for her to find that will help lead them to her boss. He tells Dex to keep following her without her knowing it.
Mason goes to Austin for painkillers for his headache and Betty arrives and tells them the good news that she will be alone in Sonny’s penthouse for two hours so she can search it. Mason is happy. After she leaves Mason makes it clear to Austin that the boss, who is now a he, will never let him go.
Carly and Joss walk into Carly’s kitchen and Carly rips into her for having her phone off the night before because there could have been an actual emergency. Joss feels very badly and Carly tells her about what happened at the bar. She admits to Joss that she didn’t have to stay at the PCPD all night and could have let Sonny sign her out but refused to let him. Joss is confused because she said that she was letting go of her anger toward Sonny.
Carly tries to explain that she is trying to move forward with her life and doesn’t want to rely on Sonny’s help. She tells her that she and Sonny have been through a lot and will always be bonded but he is with Nina and she is with Drew and they all need to move forward. She reminds her that no matter what Sonny is family and they need him to stay safe so that they all stay safe.
Sonny goes to Carly’s to drop Donna off and asks her again why she wouldn’t let him sign her out. Carly tries to explain to him that she doesn’t want him to be her safety net but he doesn’t understand it.
Valentin finds Anna sitting in the ashes of her burned-out townhouse and tries to comfort her. They talk about their theories about who is behind it and Anna admits that she doubts it was the WSB. Dante shows up and asks her to come give a statement and takes her to the PCPD. They go over everything that happened and Dante seems suspicious about Valentin’s whereabouts the night before. He leaves the room and makes a call to get the security footage from the ELQ parking lot so he can confirm Valentin’s alibi. After Anna leaves Dante gets the call telling him that Valentin was never at ELQ the night before.
