Spoilers for General Hospital on August 15, 2023: TJ and Molly host an important meeting. Portia puts her cards on the table. Gregory puts Chase on the spot. Ava seeks reassurance. Dex has to scramble.

General Hospital Episode Recap August 15, 2023: Betty Takes The Bait

Molly and TJ got ready for their interviews with the potential surrogates. Molly is nervous and TJ does his best to calm her down. They meet with three candidates and loved the first one, liked the second, and did not like the third. They agree to go with the first one, Andrea, and have the 2nd one as a backup.

Alexis and Gregory run into each other at the pool and she tells him she got a quote for his article. They are both there for lunch dates with other people. Brook Lynn runs into Nina and they talk about Sasha. Brook Lynn tells her about what happened and tells her that she is right to be concerned. Esme arrives for her lunch date with Alexis and Brook Lynn sees Gregory and tells Nina that her lunch date is there.

Brook Lynn tells Gregory that Chase will be joining them but he is running late so they start to talk to get to know each other better. Esme worries that she is in trouble but Alexis tells her that she has been doing a good job and she wanted to reward her with lunch and tell her. Esme is very touched and they chat and get to know one another more. They talk about Spencer and Alexis’s past as a lawyer. Chase joins Brook Lynn and Gregory for lunch and they have a nice time. When the check comes Gregory has an issue with his hand but they don’t notice. Alexis does and asks him about it after and Gregory confides in her that he thinks he is running out of time.

Curtis is working with Roy, his physical therapist at the rehab when Portia shows up and asks to help him. Curtis is very hesitant to let her in. They talk about his conversation with Trina and Portia asks if they can do the same. Curtis tells her that it’s not the same between them. She asks if they can start over. His therapist interrupts and Portia asks if she can stay and observe. The therapist speaks to her alone and makes it clear that she needs to let Curtis lead things. Portia steps out but later watches from a doorway as Curtis pushes himself and makes progress.

Ava goes to Sonny’s office for an update about Betty out of concern for Avery. Sonny promises her that Avery is fine and will not be alone with the nanny because Dex is following them. Betty brings Avery back to Sonny’s after camp and suggests she take a nap but Avery refuses. Betty lets her watch shows on her tablet while she searches the penthouse. 

Nina shows up to get something but Dex and Gabe refuse to let her in and tell her that Sonny said no one can go in. Nina is very upset and goes to confront Sonny about it. He tells her that it is business and that she can’t be a part of it and she leaves very unhappy. At the penthouse, Betty finds the planted information on Sonny’s laptop and copies it onto a flash drive. Dex sneaks into the penthouse quietly to catch her.
