General Hospital Episode Recap August 2, 2023: Brook Lynn Stands Up To Tracy

Olivia asks Tracy for help with Ned but Tracy tells her she has to go deal with something else and leaves. Leo and Ned both come into the kitchen and Ned is hung over. Olivia asks Leo to go get an ice pack for Ned and rips into him for going out to bars all night at his age. He tells her that he doesn’t understand how the guy he used to be was ever with a shrew like her and leaves. She is upset and tries to cover when Leo comes back in but he picks up on her pain. Later Ned tries to talk to Leo and he lashes out at him for hurting Olivia. When Olivia comes back in Ned extends an olive branch by accepting her offer to make breakfast.

Valentin goes to Laura and Kevin’s hotel room to talk about the next part of the plan and Laura tells him that she and Kevin are going on alone and he should go back to Port Charles. Valentin tries to talk them out of it but Laura is insistent. He thinks it is because Kevin hates him but Laura explains that he is needed in Port Charles and that Kevin knows she cares about him and is accepting of that. Valentin relents and agrees to go back to Port Charles and Laura and Kevin talk about the next part of their trip.

Martin goes to see Cyrus and wants to know why his brother wanted to see him. Cyrus tells him about his near-death experience but Martin is skeptical that his brother has actually changed. Cyrus tells him that he has put him in charge of his trust and wants him to use all of his money to improve the futures of inmates at Pentonville so that they can be rehabilitated as well. 

Chase questions Austin about Gordon and Dex but Austin doesn’t have much information for him. He tells him about Gordon approaching him at the Grille and then goes to see his patient, Cyrus. When he gets to his room to examine him, he tells Cyrus he is doing very well for someone who just had a heart attack. Before Austin leaves Cyrus grabs his wrist tightly and speaks cryptically about his family. In Sonny’s office, he talks on the phone to someone about Gordon’s death. He thinks someone was sending a message and plans to send one back.

Sam goes to Kelly’s to see Carly and they talk about Drew and Scout and Carly’s new business. Sonny comes in and Sam leaves. Sonny offers Carly money but she tells him she is doing it on her own and couldn’t take it anyway. He gives her a gift of a massive bag of coffee and then Chase arrives with some questions for him. They step outside and Chase grills him about Dex and Gordon. Sonny answers carefully but then finally tells Chase if he has anything else to go through his lawyer. Inside he tells Carly that everything is under control before he leaves.

At Deception Maxie and Brook Lynn talk about the fear that comes with loving a cop and the issues Deception is having since Sasha’s breakdown. Tracy shows up to talk to Brook Lynn about her father and Maxie heads out. Once she is gone Tracy starts pushing Brook Lynn for more information on the Deceptor. Brook Lynn refuses to help her and tells her that she is standing by her friends. Tracy tells her to get more information for her before leaving the office.
