General Hospital Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for August 8, 2023: Sasha Freaks Out

Spoilers for General Hospital on August 8, 2023: Valentin is in the hot seat. Gregory and Tracy spar. Olivia gives Eddie food for thought. Cody enlists Brook Lynn’s help. Finn and Elizabeth share a close moment.

General Hospital Episode Recap August 8, 2023: Sasha Freaks Out

Anna questions Valentin about his connection to Pikeman and notes that he asked her to personally deliver a message to Sonny right before the shooting. Valentin explains that he was just the middle man and would never do anything he thought would put her in danger. He confirms that Pikeman is connected to the WSB and confesses that he agreed to work as an intermediary with Sonny for them in the hopes that they could help him take down Victor. Anna is determined to find out why they want her dead.

Tracy approaches Olivia in the kitchen and tells her that they have to have Ned committed to help him remember who he is. Olivia is very against the idea and they argue. Neither of them knows Neddie is listening from the stairs. Olivia makes it clear to Tracy that only she can commit Ned since she is his wife and that she will never agree to do it. Tracy tells her that they will see before leaving. Cody approaches Brook Lynn as she is playing piano and asks for her help getting in to see Sasha.

Neddie comes in and thanks her for standing up for him and she tells him that she is his wife and always will. Neddie tries to convince her that Ned is gone for good and she has to move on but she doesn’t want to believe that. He talks about needing his music and she suggests that he team up with Brook Lynn since she is a songwriter and music producer. She takes him to the piano and offers to be his audience. Neddie sings and plays for her and then remembers what he overheard in the kitchen. He asks Olivia for something to drink and when she comes back with glasses of iced tea she finds that he is gone.

Finn and Elizabeth flirt at the hospital until Gregory shows up. Liz gets back to work and Gregory questions Finn about what is going on between them. Finn tells him that they are giving it another chance and Gregory is happy for his son. Finn has to go check on a patient and Tracy arrives and runs into Gregory. She asks how he is doing and he pretends to not know what she is talking about. When she brings up what happened at dinner, he rips into her about prying into his business. 

Tracy tells Gregory about wanting to get Ned committed and he tries to convince her that it isn’t a good idea but she is resolute in her decision. Martin goes to see Cyrus and he asks Martin if he did as he asked and gave away all of his money. Martin is convinced that Cyrus must have other money hidden away but Cyrus tells him he does not. Martin sees Austin in the lobby and asks if it is safe for Cyrus to go back to prison so soon after his heart attack and Austin says he is medically cleared to and will be fine.

Austin gets a text from his cousin to come to his office and goes to meet with him immediately. Mason denies killing Gordon but Austin doesn’t believe him. Mason goads Austin about his argument with Gordon at the restaurant and says the police may see a video of that and have questions.  Finn gives Liz some mold spores he grew for Jake’s school project and later when Cyrus is being returned to prison, Austin shares a look with Cyrus as the elevator doors close.

Sasha hallucinates that Cody has come to see her so that he can rip into her for trying to kill him. He turns into Cyrus who taunts her about her drug addiction and then Cyrus turns back into Cody who tells her she will spend her life locked up and then burn in hell after she dies. In the lobby, Brook Lynn provides a distraction so that Cody can sneak into Sasha’s room. When she sees him she freaks out and starts to scream. And orderly comes in and throws him out of the room. Cody and Brook Lynn share a concerned look while Sasha screams from inside the room.
