General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Thursday, December 14, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Kristina reveals her plans to Sonny; Diane and Robert make a decision about their relationship; Carly presses Ava; TJ has reservations and Alexis confides in Gregory.
GH Recap Today
Gregory apologizes to Alexis for making her wait, as he was unable to find a ride share pick-up. He then proceeds to inform her about Chase and Brook Lynn’s engagement. Gregory is glad they are a united family despite his initial belief that Chase would not forgive him for keeping his illness secret.
Alexis also has some big news to share – she is going to be a grandmother again. She explains that Kristina has offered to be a surrogate for Molly and TJ, and they have accepted, but she has mixed feelings about it. Later, Alexis offers to take him home.
TJ meets with Stella, but she senses that something is bothering him. He asks her if she has ever regretted moving in with her sister and changing her life to help her sister. Stella tells him that she never regrets moving in with her sister. Although she sometimes fantasizes about what-ifs, she is content with her decision. She and her sister share a deep bond, and she loves Thomas and Curtis like her own children.
TJ then reveals that Kristina will be his and Molly’s surrogate. As a doctor, he understands the risks involved, but he is more concerned about Kristina’s feelings. He worries about Kristina backing out once she realizes what she is really in for. He admits that will break Molly’s heart and his too.
GH Recap Today
Kristina joins Sonny and Donna, curious about the reason behind their celebration. It turns out Donna has received a good report card, which is why they are celebrating. Kristina expresses her love for spending time with her little sister. However, Donna seems to be tired of being the youngest and asks Sonny when he and Nina are planning to have a child.
Despite Donna’s inquiry, Sonny says he and Nina are content with their current situation. Kristina asks about Michael and Sonny reveals that things are going well between him and Sonny but not so much between him and Nina. Nevertheless, Kristina encourages Sonny, saying that every little bit helps.
Later, Sonny tells Kristina to have fun while they talk about work. Kristina explains that she will have fun later because she is going to be TJ and Molly’s surrogate. He inquires how Blaze will feel about that because in Puerto Rico, he noticed something between the two. He doesn’t want to pry, but he wants his daughter to know that whatever happens, he will be happy for her.
Carly drops Avery off at Ava. Carly notes that Ava is worried about something and it has nothing to do with moving back to her apartment. Ava says she has a lot going on. Carly is confident that she will find a way and make it through. Carly then brings up the subject of Austin being murdered. Ava notes that he was murdered so violently, and she prays that his killer is caught. Carly asks if she was questioned by the police and Ava tells her that she wasn’t.
Carly questions if she has something to hide. Carly encourages Ava to tell Sonny if she had anything to do with Austin’s death for Avery’s sake. After Carly leaves, Ava opens her safe and looks at the note that she found earlier, wondering if Nikolas is back.

Elizabeth and Amy discuss donations while Portia reminds Finn that he is an exceptional physician and then informs him that Monica wants to see him in her office. Amy approaches Portia and asks about Finn’s malpractice lawsuit, but Portia gives her a talk about hospital hospital and advises her to be discreet. Finn tells Elizabeth that he dislikes being called away, but Monica wants to see him. Elizabeth suggests that it could be a good thing, but Finn notes that it could also be bad news. Portia and Elizabeth talk about the Epiphany Johnson scholarship fund. Portia asks Elizabeth to inform her if she hears any gossip about Finn’s malpractice lawsuit. Elizabeth promises to speak to Amy herself. Elizabeth inquires about Monica’s reason for summoning Finn. Portia is uncertain but mentions that, in her experience, Monica is a fair and impartial administrator, so they can hope for the best. Amy returns and informs Elizabeth that she has to give a deposition in the malpractice lawsuit and requests advice. Elizabeth advises her to tell the truth.
Diane and Robert meet at the Metro Court and engage in small talk. Robert is interested in the progress of the malpractice suit, but gets distracted when Diane talks about it. He admits that he is thinking about her instead of paying attention to the case. Despite this, Robert has faith in her legal abilities. He asks if she took a rideshare, but Diane tells him that she drove. Robert feels sad that he cannot offer her a ride home. However, Diane invites him to spend the night at her place. They arrive at her house and share a kiss at the door.
Monica finishes a call, and Tracy comes in and asks if she is ready for what’s next. Monica says that she is not sure. Finn arrives, and Tracy reveals that she is representing the hospital. They want a recommendation as to whether they should have a trial or settle. If they settle, the lawsuit will only involve Finn. Finn claims that he did nothing wrong as he tells his side of the story. Finn tells Monica that she can do what she has to, but he stands by his treatment regardless of whether or not GH stands by him.
Elizabeth asks Finn about how things went and he responds that his restrictions won’t be lifted anytime soon. He doesn’t know much else. Tracy then approaches Finn and asks to speak with him privately. Tracy recommends that the hospital supports Finn and says that she and Monica don’t believe there was any negligence on his part. Tracy also tells him that she knows he is a capable doctor.
Later, Monica meets with Dede Clarke and informs her that they reviewed Finn’s actions and found no wrongdoing on his part. Clarke encourages Monica to reconsider her decision as the Muldoons can financially prolong legal proceedings. Clarke advises that Monica should prioritize the hospital’s best interests rather than backing Finn.
