General Hospital Recap January 24, 2024: Today on General Hospital – Curtis throws a bon voyage party for Trina and Spencer. Heather opens up to Laura. Kevin appears to get through to Esme. Kristina learns the result of her pregnancy test. Spinelli accuses Cody of being interested in Maxie.

Esme is making plans to leave when Kevin startles her. He apologizes for catching her off guard and engages her in a conversation about Ace. Kevin reminds Esme of their familial connection as uncle and niece, and questions her decision not to inform anyone, including the police, about Nikolas’ actions. Esme explains her inability to do so, prompting Kevin to inquire why she did not seek help from him or Laura. Furthermore, he underscores the determination of Laura to protect her family, cautioning Esme not to underestimate her.
Despite Esme’s desire to leave, Kevin urges her to sit down and talk with him. He reminds her there are people in town willing to support her. Esme, however, doubts that anyone would aid the offspring of Heather Webber and Ryan Chamberlain. Kevin assures her that both he and Laura are prepared to undertake any necessary measures to assist her in getting her son back. He queries her about her willingness to change, to which she says she does want to change before approaching him from behind and knocking him out.

There is a bon voyage in honor of Trina and Spencer’s imminent departure. Trina expresses her newfound sense of ease in leaving, due to Curtis’s favorable circumstances.
Meanwhile, Spencer arrives and exchanges pleasantries with Trina. She thought he was coming along with his grandmother and Kevin but he says they will join momentarily. Elsewhere, Portia confides in Ava, admitting to putting on a brave face so Trina doesn’t know how she really feels about her leaving. The two women mutually propose supporting each other during Trina’s absence.
As the conversation shifts to the topic of Ace, Spencer discloses that he allowed his father to take Ace. He further explains that he is reasonably certain that Esme has regained her memories. Meanwhile, Curtis engages in a discussion with Marshall regarding his sense of relief at being discharged from the hospital. Spencer, Joss, and Trina acknowledge the necessity of obtaining evidence to substantiate the return of Esme’s memories, thus enabling her to stand trial. Joss volunteers to procure the required evidence while they enjoy their trip to Paris.
Later, Trina says her goodbyes as her mom reminds her how much she loves her.

Molly arrives at Kristina’s with food. Despite Molly’s concern about appearing overly assertive, Kristina reassures her that she appreciates the gesture. However, Kristina expresses doubt about having enough space in her fridge for the food. Molly, having recently viewed a tutorial on organizing fridge space, offers to assist Kristina in organizing it. Kristina then insists on maintaining a healthy diet for the foreseeable future.
When discussing the timing of taking a pregnancy test, Kristina proposes waiting a few days to avoid the possibility of a false positive result. Despite this, Molly couldn’t help but suggest taking a test right away. Later, Kristina receives a text message from Blaze, which makes her smile. Molly, noticing Kristina’s reaction, inquires who the sender of the text is. Kristina explains that it is from the weekend bartender at Charlie’s. Molly, however was thinking that it was from someone she is particularly interested in.
Considering the potential impact of pregnancy on her life, Kristina emphasizes the importance of knowing as soon as possible, in order to effectively plan for the future. She then suggests they find out whether she is pregnant now. Later, the test confirms that Kristina is pregnant.

Felicia and Spinelli discuss how he likes living with Georgie full time. While they discuss their plan, Maxie comes in and asks what they are talking about. Cody arrives and Spinelli tries to close the door in his face but Cody pushes his way in. Cody explains that he brought a present for James. It is a new boots and he loves them. Maxie tells Cody those boots are too expensive but he insists it’s no big deal.
The boots don’t fit so Cody goes outside to make a call but Spinelli approaches him and accuses him of taking advantage of Maxie’s generous nature. While Spinelli thinks Cody is harboring feelings for Maxie, he makes it clear that he doesn’t. Inside, James proposes selling his boots and giving his mother the money. He admits he has heard her talk about money and they tell him he should not listen to grown up conversations.
Laura Visits Heather!
Laura’s visit to Heather in Pentonville is met with gratitude from Heather. Heather also takes the opportunity to offer her condolences for the loss of Bobbie. During their conversation, Heather reveals that she reached out to Laura because she learned from Esme that her grandson had been taken. Laura is taken aback and has questions. Heather then explains that Esme feels she is the only one she could trust. Laura then questions that statement, noting that she and Esme built a bond following the birth of her son.
Heather asserts that was before she remembered what Laura’s family did to her. Heather further shares that Esme regained her memories on Christmas Eve upon returning to Wyndemere. Laura questions the reason behind Heather’s decision to disclose Esme’s truth, especially considering that Laura holds the position of mayor and could approach the authorities directly. In response, Heather emphasizes that such action would result in Esme facing justice in Pentonville, where Heather believes she rightfully belongs, alongside her mother. She highlights Esme’s unwavering determination for payback. Heather also shares concern for Spencer and Trina, who she believes could be at the forefront of Esme’s vendetta. Imploring Laura for the sake of their mutual grandson, Heather beseeches her to intervene by finding Esme and stopping her.
