General Hospital Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for July 10, 2023: Curtis Is Shot!
Spoilers for General Hospital on July 10, 2023: A shot rings out at the Metro Court. Dex gets bad news. Alexis urges caution. Molly ponders an offer. Josslyn doesn’t like what she sees.
General Hospital Episode Recap July 10, 2023: Curtis Is Shot!
Shots ring out at the MetroCourt pool and Dante yells for everyone to get down. Everyone ducks for cover and Chase calls for help after hearing the shots. Jordan calls the PCPD as well and reports what she saw and heard. Chase sees Liz and Finn and asks them to come with him to see if anyone is injured. Portia sees that Curtis was shot and tries to help him until Finn and Liz get there and take over. Finn tells Liz that the bullet entered his back.
Sonny and his guard try to figure out where the shots came from and Sonny goes out into the open yelling for the shooter to shoot again but nothing happens. Anna berates him for taking the risk but Sonny says he did it to prove it was safe for the paramedics to come in. Brook Lynn rushes over to Chase and Dante as soon as she was allowed to because she wanted to make sure Chase was ok. Anna and Sonny try to figure out which of them was the target. Dante figures out that the shots came from a room overlooking the pool and he and Chase go to search it. Dante finds the rifle that was used behind a couch in an empty room. Dante tells Chase that it feels like the shooting could be an intelligence op.
Molly tells TJ about overhearing Kristina telling Sam and Alexis that she wants to be their surrogate. She is mad because she thinks Kristina is trying to make everything about herself, again. TJ tells her that he would never let that happen. Kristina tells Sam and Alexis that she got checked out by her OBGYN and she is in great health. She feels that it would be the perfect time for her to be a surrogate for them because she is single and she shares DNA with Molly and has no immediate plans for kids of her own.
Sam and Alexis urge Kristina to think about it more. Sam tells her about the feelings she had when she was pregnant with Lila and Kristina questions if it would be the right thing for her to do. Molly and TJ talk about his true feelings about everything going on and reconnect. He tells her that he is ok with waiting if she needs time. Molly admits that Kristina would be the perfect surrogate for them as Kristina is telling Sam and Alexis that is a good thing she talked to them before talking to Molly.
Joss and Trina sit in the park together and talk about Spencer. Joss tells Trina the truth about her breakup with Cameron and why Spencer really hates Dex. She thinks Spencer’s real issue is with her but he takes it out on Dex because he is trying to get Cam’s back. She also thinks Spencer is intimidated by Dex and Trina thinks she may be right. They talk about the parenting class that Esme is taking with Spencer and Dex arrives with drinks for them.
Trina is going to leave but Joss asks her to stay so that Dex can get to know Joss’s best friend better. Dex gets a call from another guard and then tells them about the shooting at the pool and tells them that Curtis was hit. Liz and Finn are walking through the park and talking about how it effects them to have to work on a friend like they did with Curtis. Liz is shaky and Finn wraps an arm around her.
Esme and Spencer meet for the parenting class and argue about Ace’s babysitter. Spencer is fine with leaving but Esme tells him that she wants them to take the class for Ace’s benefit. The instructor comes out and invites them into the room and they follow her. During the class, they talk about things regarding Ace and the book they have both been reading and find that they actually agree about a lot of things. The instructor thinks they are parents together but Esme corrects her.
Curtis is brought into the hospital and a medical team works on him but doesn’t allow Portia to stay in the room with them. Zeke and Jordan get to the hospital and Portia tells them what is going on and her fears. Trina calls and talks to Portia about what’s going on. Zeke offers support to Jordan but she wants him to be there for Portia.
Trina arrives with Joss and Dex and they stay to offer support. Zeke supports Jordan when she goes outside to make a statement as the new deputy mayor. Joss goes to find Spencer for Trina and sees him in the parenting classroom chatting with Esme. The doctor comes out and tells Portia and Trina that Curtis is stable but needs surgery to remove the bullet but it is dangerous because it is lodged against his spine.
