Spoilers for General Hospital on June 7, 2023: Elizabeth gets good news; Sonny and Valentin meet; Drew consults with his attorney; Martin reassures Nina; and Carly makes a big decision.

General Hospital Episode Recap June 7, 2023: Liz Gets A Promotion!

Joss comes home and finds Carly in the kitchen. Carly tells her that she knows what she’s been up to. Carly shows her the flash drive and Joss tries to lie but Carly calls her on it. Joss pleads with her mother to use the video to make a deal for herself and can’t understand why she won’t. Carly tries to explain that Sonny has to be free to keep them safe and they have an emotional fight. Joss says she doesn’t trust Sonny to keep them safe and brings up Morgan’s death. Carly stomps on the flash drive and tells Joss that it’s over. Joss tells her mother that she has just condemned Dex and Carly leaves, telling her daughter that she is going to deal with everything. 

Portia asks Liz to come out for drinks with her but Liz isn’t sure. Finn and Terry approach them and tell Liz that the board has just had a meeting about her future at the hospital and then break the good news that she has been named head nurse of General Hospital. Liz is overjoyed. Her friends congratulate her and then Liz steps away to call her grandmother.

Terry asks Portia and Finn if either of them is willing to be her Co-Chief of Staff but they both turn her down. After Liz’s call, she looks at the Memorial Wall and talks to her grandfather’s portrait about her new job. Portia and Finn come over and Portia tells her they have to celebrate. They invite Finn to come but he has too much work to finish. After they leave he remembers being with Liz on the red carpet at the Nurse’s Ball. 

Michael goes into Willow’s room to spend time with her and Drew calls her from outside. She thanks him for saving Liesl so she could have her transplant and tells him how happy she is that the SEC didn’t stop him from doing it. After they hang up he calls his lawyer again and asks for a meeting that night. Michael tells Willow what is going on with Carly and the video and she tells him that she supports Carly in whatever she decides to do with it. Terry comes in to run tests so Michael leaves the room. Carly comes off the elevator and they see each other.

Zeke and Jordan have sex and then talk about how much fun they had together. They are about to do it again but he gets a call from Drew and has to take it. After the call, he gives her his number and goes to meet Drew while she finishes getting dressed. She notices he left his room key and takes it with her to give it to him so he’s not locked out.

Zeke meets Drew by the pool and they discuss his case. Drew tells him that he wants to cut a deal with the SEC to turn himself in and take the fall himself. Drew explains to Zeke about the offer the feds are making to Carly and why she can’t take it. Zeke tries to talk him out of it because he is his lawyer but Drew is undeterred. He tells Zeke that he is working on a plan to get them both off but if it doesn’t work he wants to make the deal. After his meeting with Zeke, Drew calls Tracy and asks her to meet him at the MetroCourt.

Valentin is drinking at the bar and trying to get in touch with Anna when he sees Martin. He tells Valentin that Anna is ok but he is there to see another client and can’t discuss it. Ned and Olivia are having drinks together at a table when Nina stops by and chats with them. After she finds out that people no longer think Ned was the one who snitched she leaves quickly while Olivia watches suspiciously. 

Nina goes over to Valentin and Martin and tells Valentin that she read about Nina. He sees her engagement ring and leaves quickly. Martin takes Nina out to the terrace and tells her that the feds are pushing him to reveal his source. He explains about the deal the feds are trying to make with Carly and Nina freaks out. Inside Olivia tells Ned they need to find out who the snitch was but he isn’t sure that will heal the family rifts. She goes to check on the kitchen and Ned overhears Martin telling Nina that he will make sure no one finds out she was the one who snitched to the SEC.

In Sonny’s office, he tells Dex about the fed’s offer of a deal to Carly. He tells him his suspicions about there never being a tip. Sonny tells Dex that he is in too deep to get out but that he will give him what he wants and that’s a place to belong. He sends Dex home but Valentin shows up so he tells him to stay for the meeting. Valentin tells him that Pikeman is preparing for another shipment. Sonny is upset because he wanted to know who tried to kill him first but Valentin says he doubts that Pikeman knows. Sonny agrees to the shipment and sends Dex home. After Dex leaves, Sonny asks about Anna and Valentin congratulates him on his engagement to Nina. Dex goes to Carly’s and finds Joss looking at the broken pieces of the flash drive. She tells him that they are out of options.
