General Hospital Recap: Laura Vows to Make Cyrus Pay

General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Wednesday, December 6, 2023:

What happened today on General Hospital: Elizabeth and Jake open up to each other; Spencer and Esme have a tense moment; Alexis gives legal help to Finn and Martin; Josslyn presses Adam about his family; and Dante and Jordan reveal something to Laura.

Curtis, Marshall, and Trina decide to go and choose a Christmas tree together. Trina spots a tree that she likes, but Curtis and Marshall say that it’s too small. Trina disagrees, as it’s the same size that she and her mom usually get. She points out that it’s cute and easy to decorate without needing a ladder. Curtis can’t climb a ladder, but still insists they should get the biggest and most amazing tree they can find. Trina is surprised by Curtis’s strong feelings about the tree. Marshall explains that Curtis has always been that way. Just as they’re discussing it, Trina receives an alert on her phone and says she can’t wait to see the tree decorated, and rushes out.

Esme is about to call a ride share, but Spencer, who is willing and happy to take her, offers to give her a ride instead. Spencer thinks it is crazy for her to travel with a stranger when he is available. However, Esme refuses his offer, telling him that she cannot rely on him. She leaves Spencer with Ace for a moment, and Spencer takes the opportunity to tell Ace about his plans for the next summer. He gets emotional and tells Ace that he will always be his big brother while Esme listens to their conversation. When Esme is ready to leave, she asks Spencer to wish them luck on their new journey, and he does.

Later, Trina visits Spencer who notes how much he will miss Ace. She believes that Ace will always remember the time they spent together and it will forever be imprinted in his mind and his heart.

GH Recap Today

Laura asks Dante for a full update on Austin Gatlin-Holt’s murder case. Dante brings her and Jordan up to speed by revealing how Austin’s body was discovered and how he was killed. Dante adds that a couple of persons are of interest, and one of them is her brother, Cyrus. Jordan thinks he is capable of murder and wonders what is his connection to Austin. Dante reveals that Austin and Mason were working for Cyrus while he was in Pentonville. 

Laura is concerned about this serious accusation made by Dante. He claims that Austin visited Cyrus in prison multiple times, but when Dante investigated this, Pentonville had no record of Austin’s visit. Dante suspects that someone has deleted the log. Laura inquires if Dante thinks Cyrus did this. 

Dante tells her that Austin came to see him before he died and he was ready to give up the name of his boss, but died before he could. Laura begs Dante to keep her in the loop on this investigation because if her brother is responsible and if he is the same ruthless killer he always was, she promises to ensure that he never sees the light of day again. 

GH Recap Today

Maxie informs Cody that their chemistry with Sasha is evident to everyone and that’s the reason for their positive response. She also reveals that they will be travelling to Monument Valley for a shoot. Maxie emphasizes that Deception sells not only beauty, but also romance. She believes that capturing Sasha and Cody together in front of a stunning sunset will be the epitome of that. 

Later, Felicia arrives and informs Cody that James is okay. She explains that James had gone to the school nurse because he was experiencing stomach pains. Felicia handled the situation, and Liesl examined James. She reassured everyone that he would be fine by tomorrow. This news is a relief for Maxie and Cody. Maxie wants to be with James but also wants to handle the conference call. Cody and Sasha offer to take care of it for her and Maxie sets it up for them. 

Adam meets with Josslyn. He is worried about receiving less than 85% on the organic chemistry make-up test. Although he hasn’t viewed the results, he is apprehensive and feels like his life is over if he fails. The test is crucial for him to become a doctor. He requests Josslyn’s assistance to check the grade with him. Josslyn looks up the grade and informs him that he got a 97%. 

Adam calls his dad to share the good news, but when his dad asks why he needed to take the make-up test, Adam lies and says that Josslyn had an emergency and he had to accompany her to the hospital. Josslyn asks him why he lied. As Adam explains, Josslyn wonders when he will start making decisions for his own life instead of continuing to do what his parents want. She also tells him that she does not appreciate when people lie about her. Josslyn then reveals that she got a 90% on the make-up test. After that, Adam leaves.

Liz and Jake are out hunting for a tree. Jake wonders if something is wrong because Liz is trying hard to seem happy. Liz notices that Jake has become more perceptive and decides to confide in him about her worry over Finn’s malpractice suit. She explains that Finn is an incredible doctor and that what happened was not his fault, but he is still taking the suit very hard. Jake is grateful that his mom told him this and Liz takes the opportunity to tell him how proud she is of him. She then asks about his relationship with Charlotte. 

Jake admits that he’s not sure where he stands with her as she’s hard to read – he never really knows what she’s thinking. Liz reminds him that Charlotte went through an emotional trauma and will take some time to recover. Jake exclaims, “I hate guns!“

Finn, Alexis, and Martin meet at The Invader to practice for their Deposition. Alexis is playing the role of opposing counsel and warns Finn that she won’t be playing nice. She reminds him that Diane is a formidable opponent. Martin cautions Finn against letting Diane get the best of him on the stand. Both Alexis and Martin advise Finn not to lie on the stand and avoid saying, “I don’t remember.” Despite Finn’s initial confidence, he becomes a bit frustrated during the practice. He learns that he needs to keep his answers brief and straightforward as they proceed through the deposition.
