General Hospital Recap March 29, 2024: Today on GH – Jason meets with Sonny. Ava and Sonny have a close moment. Anna learns some important information. Valentin makes arrangements. Oliva, Danny and Rocco rush to Dante’s bedside.

Carly is adamant about persuading Sonny to believe that Jason did not shoot Dante. As Jason arrives, he wants to leave and come back but Carly stops him, insisting that Sonny needs to hear it. She directly asks Jason if he shot Dante, to which he says no and inquires about Dante’s condition.
Sonny updates them that Dante hasn’t woken up and asks about Jason making bail. Carly reveals that it was 5 million, paid by Michael. Jason then proceeds to tell Sonny and Carly about being apprehended by the FBI in Greece.
Sonny Is Upset
Upon learning this, Sonny questions why Jason would do that, to which Jason states that he had no other choice. Sonny deduces that Jason must be protecting someone and asks Jason who it is, Jason claims he is protecting himself.
Carly asserts to Sonny that Jason would divulge more details if he could. Sonny becomes upset that Carly is siding with Jason, leading to a heated argument.
Ava intervenes in an attempt to defuse the situation, yet Carly instructs her to stay out of it. Sonny states that anyone withholding information while working for the FBI can’t be trusted. He labels Carly and Jason as traitors and demands that they leave.
Despite Carly’s desire to continue the conversation, Jason and Carly leave together. Ava endeavors to chat with Sonny, but he rebuffs her attempts.

Sonny notes that Carly has been a consistent for Jason even through his time of being married to her. Ava offers to make him a drink. Sonny excuses himself and his phone gets an alert, it’s a text from Olivia regarding Dante. Ava notices the message and conceals the phone. She fabricates a story so that Sonny doesn’t go visit his son. She tries to persuade him to decompress after the intense events with Carly and Jason.
Sonny and Ava then share in the joy of his son’s awakening. Sonny and Ava share a special moment. As Sonny leans in and kisses her, he bids her goodnight before taking his leave.
Jason Gets A Place to Stay
Carly and Jason show up at Bobbie’s, and he’s all into the new name. Carly mentions that Elizabeth made the sign. Jason sweetly says that Carly is special, and they raise their glasses to the memory of Bobbie.
Then, Jason apologizes for not being there for Carly when Bobbie passed, but she totally understands. She can’t wrap her head around how Sonny doesn’t see it, though.
Carly just wants to focus on the present and asks about Jason’s situation. Jason says his case is a long shot unless Dante clears his name. Carly hopes for the best, but Jason’s main concern is for Dante to pull through. Carly has one more question: where is Jason going to stay? He doesn’t have a place or money, and Carly offers to help out, but he won’t take it.
She suggests he come stay at her place. Then Carly remembers the room above Bobbie’s place that she used to have and offers it to Jason and he accepts.

A driver takes Brennan to a spot. Then Valentin shows up and starts talking about Jason messing up the hit. He says Jason messed up their chance to take down Sonny. Valentin tells him about Dante getting shot. Valentin points out that it might not have been Jason but another shooter, but that guy’s already toast.
He says he’s all about keeping things hush-hush and making sure nothing can be traced back to him. Valentin points out that Sonny knows enough to avoid showing his face where they can take a clear shot at him. Valentin has Sonny thinking some guy named Stone is behind everything.
He also mentions there’s been too many botched shots and it needs fixing. Brennan wants to know what the plan is. He wants to know how they’re going to take Sonny down but Valentin says Sonny will do it all by himself.
Then Valentin brings up Sonny’s bipolar. He’s managed to get in touch with the source of Sonny’s meds, and they’ve worked out a deal. Sonny’s meds are 25% real and 75% fake. Brennan reminds Valentin not to underestimate Sonny. As Brennan asks about Anna, Valentin tells him to leave Anna alone. Valentin leaves while Brennan who is now going by the name of Jack heads back to prison.

The doctor gives Sam an update on Dante and warns her to be careful about giving him water. Elizabeth informs Sam that Dante will be sore after having his chest tube removed. Sam rushes in and greets him warmly. Dante tells her to come closer to his bedside. Sam asks if it hurts, to which Dante denies, but Sam doesn’t believe him. Dante says sorry, but Sam tells him not to worry. Then Dante tells her he loves her.
Olivia gets the call that Dante is awake and both Olivia and Lois are thrilled and getting ready to visit him. Rocco and Danny also want to go, and despite Olivia’s attempts to stall, the kids are determined to see Dante. Olivia eventually agrees, and Lois stays with Scout.
When they arrive, Olivia is over the moon to see Dante and scolds him for worrying them. Olivia explains that kids insisted on seeing him. Sam lets them know it’s hard for Dante to talk. Rocco says he wants to hug Dante, and Sam reminds him to be gentle.
Dante Says Jason Didn’t Shoot Him
After Dante spending some moments with the kids. Sam and Olivia then take the kids out of the room. Sam stays behind and offers to get Dante anything he needs. Dante asks to see Anna. Anna arrives and Sam apologizes for calling her late, but Anna is happy to be there.
Sam takes her inside and tells Dante not to strain himself. Olivia leaves the room, and Anna asks if Dante is all caught up. Sam mentions knowing about the arraignment. Anna then asks for details, and although Dante is not fully alert, he tells them that Jason didn’t shoot him and that Jason is the reason he is still alive.
Anna calls Carly and reports that Dante is awake and confirms that Jason did not shoot him.
