Spoilers for General Hospital on May 30, 2023: Laura hosts an important event; Sonny and Carly confer in private; Nina slips info to Oliva; Drew visits with Sam and Scout; and Diane has an agenda.

General Hospital Episode Recap May 30, 2023: Victor Leaves Valentin The Middle Finger!

Spencer is talking to Ace and Laura comes out to put him down for his nap before the reading of Victor’s will. Spencer has a quick check-in phone chat with Trina. Ava and Alexis show up, followed by Mr. Brooks who is Victor’s lawyer. Martin arrives last and says he is there to represent Valentin. Anna is running late but Mr. Brown says his schedule will not permit him to wait for her. He begins the video recording that Victor left for them. Victor leaves them each a valuable antique but the one he leaves Valentin is the middle finger from a priceless ancient statue. Spencer receives a box and Victor says that he trusts he will know what to do with it.

Nina tries to plant the seed with Olivia that Carly could turn on Sonny or Carly and Drew could turn on each other but Olivia shuts her down and tells her that it will never happen. Nina watches Diane and Robert talking and encourages Olivia to try to get information from him about any deal that may be on the table for Carly. 

Robert and Diane are talking about Holly leaving town. Before they can discuss it further Olivia comes over and asks Robert about Carly’s potential deal to give up Sonny. Diane tells Robert that if a deal is on the table then just don’t say anything at all. Robert gets up from the table and walks away. Diane approaches him at the bar but Robert tells her that the next time she wants to pump him for information to do it at the office on the record before leaving.  

Sonny approaches Carly, Michael, and Joss at the hospital and they all agree to do their best to be there for Willow. Michael goes to check on Willow and Joss goes to see Trina, leaving Carly and Sonny to talk. He tries again to convince her to take any deal the feds make but she again, refuses. Michael asks them what they were talking about and Sonny tells him about his engagement to Nina.

Michael is accepting of it but tells him that this doesn’t change their deal. Sonny agrees to allow Willow to make up her own mind about Nina and leaves to check on something. Michael asks what they were really talking about and Carly tells him about the potential deal with the feds. Michael encourages her to take it.

Joss goes to another part of the hospital to meet with Trina and they talk about the status of Trina’s relationship with her mother. Trina admits that while things are better she doesn’t want to move back home yet. Joss invites her to stay with them but Trina is reluctant because of the tensions between Dex and Spencer. She tells Joss about the fight they got into at the gym. Joss has to get back to her family so they hug goodbye and then Trina gets a message on her phone. 

Drew leaves a voicemail for Carly right before Sam brings Scout over for a sleepover. Drew gives Scout Oscar’s harmonica and while she is playing with it, he and Sam discuss his issues with the SEC. She volunteers to help him get dirt to use with Ned but he turns her down and asks her to stay out of it. Olivia comes home and Sam leaves. Sonny calls Nina and updates her on Willow. He also tells her that he told Michael about their engagement and how he took the news.

Olivia sends Scout to the kitchen to get cookies she made for her and tells Drew they have to discuss something. At the hospital, Joss overhears Carly and Michael talking about her turning on Sonny in exchange for her freedom and asks her what she is waiting for.

Curtis moves home but tells Portia he is moving into the guest room. They talk about Trina and Curtis assures Portia she will work it out with Trina. Stella shows up and Marshall greets her happily. They all talk about what happened around the wedding and clear the air so they can all be a family again. They are about to have dinner when Curtis gets a call from Trina telling him that the results of the paternity test are in!
