Dante Questions Sidwell

Dominic Zamprogna as Dante Falconeri on General Hospital.

On today’s October 12 episode of General Hospital, Dante visits Sidwell’s hospital room. He brings up a recent article published in The Invader. In the piece, Sidwell is quoted saying he gave Willow Tait a drug. Dante points out, “A drug that was developed by the WSB that, once administered, the symptoms mirror that of having a stroke.”

He explains that this substance leads to locked-in syndrome. Furthermore, Dante notes that Sidwell accused Willow of giving the drug to Drew Cain to keep him paralyzed on his orders. He then asks Sidwell if he was lying during that earlier statement.

Sidwell claims, “I’m saying someone certainly lied, Commissioner, but it wasn’t me.”

Afterward, Sidwell insists he has no memory of speaking to any reporter. He notes that he was incapacitated in his bed at the time. In fact, he cannot even remember how many days he has been in the hospital. According to Sidwell, the only thing he recalls is the extreme pain from Dante’s father trying to kill him.

Drew Confronts Lulu

At home, Lulu is on her tablet when there is a knock at the door. It is Drew. She lets him in, and he asks if she is working on her next hit piece. She warns him that it is none of his business. He calls her out on asking for a HIPAA waiver under false pretenses. Lulu assures him that she did not lie to him, but once she checked the facts, she realized that the story was much bigger than she envisioned. She suggests they could use this as an opportunity to go on the record and talk about what his wife did to him. She asks if he knew.

“Did you know that your totally deranged daughter broke into my car?” Drew fires back.

Lulu suggests they stay on topic. He claims the valet told him that the teenager broke into his car. As far as he is concerned, they are a reliable source. Lulu fires back that she also had a reliable source give her the intel about Willow. Drew notes that a drugged Sidwell is no reliable source. He points out that she published intel they did not even talk about.

“Let’s talk about it now,” she suggests.

However, as she turns to get her phone, Drew warns that if she touches it, he will crush it with his bare hands. He reveals that she quoted Liz and Lucas out of context and that it will not do any good for her. He even accuses her of sending her daughter to break into his car. Before he goes, he warns her to stay the hell away from his family if she wants him to stop threatening her.

Ric Brings Sonny Some News

Meanwhile, at Sonny’s place, Ric shares some welcome news. He mentions it is the best news he has had all day, prompting Sonny to ask about the bad news. Sonny reveals that Gio moved out. He is happy for him, but at the same time, given the timing, Sonny thinks part of the reason Gio left is because of Dante. Ric thinks his brother should give it time and then try explaining things to Dante again. But Sonny says he already tried and gave it all he could. Ric offers to claim the piers on Sonny’s behalf if he is worried that the announcement of him bidding will cause problems for people who believe he is still involved in organized crime.

“Ric, I can’t afford to let you do that!” Sonny tells him.

He does not think he should stay away. Ric agrees that his brother should show up and prove he is now a legitimate businessman. Sonny is excited to see the look on Drew’s face when he finds out he lost to him.

Emma and Gio Share Their Big News

Elsewhere, Emma suggests to Gio that they postpone performing, but Gio assures her he is fine and wants to do this. Trina arrives and talks about the mics, mentioning she cannot identify which one works best for her. Gio understands and decides to take care of it for Trina. Emma notes that Gio was spiraling because just a little while ago, he packed up his stuff and moved out of his grandfather’s house.

Trina cannot believe he actually went through with it. Sonny is a bad person, and she knows Gio is better off being as far away from him as possible. But Sonny is still Gio’s family. She wonders if she made a mistake talking to Gio about this. Emma assures her that Gio was going to move out either way. Gio returns and tells Trina the mics are sorted out. Trina mentions she heard he moved out of Sonny’s. Gio adds that it was tough, but he did it. Just then, he and Emma announce they moved in together.

Later, as Trina takes the stage and sings the song, someone from outside is watching her!

Hudson and Joss Break the Law

In her suite at the Metro Court Gardens, Joss packs her things. Hudson comes out and tells her that she looks like a Bond villain. She notes she is going for a run and wonders if he is coming along. He just needs a second and is almost ready.

He brings up the plan—the one where Joss has to get the piers—and notes she is about to do whatever she has to make that happen. Hudson points out that what they are doing is corporate espionage. Hudson notes that if they get caught, they will both spend time in prison. Joss reminds him that this is absolutely worth it if Sonny loses. Joss goes to disable the security feature before the bidding is locked.

“Nice work,” Hudson tells her.

She demands that he enters their bid.

Carly Helps Ezra

Carly meets with Ezra. She thinks they have enough chairs. Ezra asks about security, and Carly wonders if he is worried for some reason. They have a top-of-the-line team, but she wonders if he is expecting a particular problem she should warn her team about.

Ezra mentions Sonny and wonders if he will pull out a gun and shoot the winner if he loses. Then, Carly wonders if Ezra knows who submitted bids because she was under the impression that it was all anonymous until the winner is announced. Ezra adds that it is, but with those valuable pieces of the Port Charles estate, there are some dangerous characters who would love to get their paws on them.

“What’s this about a dangerous character?” Valentin asks as he walks in, and he and Carly share a kiss.

Carly sends Ezra to have a chat with her head of security while she tells Valentin how much she missed him. He updates her that things went well with him and Charlotte when he dropped her off in Maine. Carly thinks Valentin is also back because he submitted a bid for the piers. He confirms that he did.

She wonders if he is trying to antagonize Sonny. However, he assures her that he is not. She thinks that if Sonny gets the piers, people are going to think he lied about going legit. Carly wants to have her way with Valentin, so they try the utility closet, but it is locked. So they head to one of the suites.

Selina and Brad Cooper Return

Meanwhile, Ric and Sonny arrive early for the bidding. Ric thinks his brother stands a chance at winning. Sonny cannot wait to see who throws their hats in the ring. Right on cue, Selina and Brad enter.

“Mr. Corinthos, a pleasure to see you again after all this time,” Ms. Wu says.

Sonny is surprised to see her. They decide to let bygones be bygones as Sonny tells her that he has no issue with her. Ric questions the legitimacy of the bids since Selina must have been out of town. However, she notes that her nephew stepped in and bid for the Wu family. She suggests that since Sonny retired, he should let the piers go to someone who can use them to their full potential.

Later, everyone arrives. Ezra walks in and welcomes the group. He announces that he will reveal the winner as soon as the bidding closes.

Suddenly, surprise, surprise, Hudson walks in. Carly is shocked. She and Valentin cannot understand why he is there. Furthermore, they cannot believe Joss was even making a bid. Then again, how would they know, seeing as Joss has been leaving them out of the loop a lot lately?

Joss Wins the Piers

After logging into the auction site, Ezra announces, “The new owner of Piers 55 and 56 is bidding 1015.”

Hudson raises his hands, stands up, and says, “That would be me,” shocking everyone.

Ric immediately starts questioning the validity of the win. Drew chimes in and does the same. However, Ezra notes that he is not in a position to answer. Ric then asks who Hudson works for.

“Hudson Parker works for me,” Joss announces as she walks in.

Later, Dante swings by to see Lulu. She fills him in on Drew’s visit. Meanwhile, Dante lets her know he went to see Sidwell. He reveals that Sidwell claims she printed a lie.
