Carly Laughs at Drew Cain

Laura Wright as Carly Spencer on General Hospital.

On today’s episode of General Hospital, Drew storms into Carly’s office complaining about the parking lot, but she just laughs at him.

“Your timing is impeccable,” she says.

Drew wonders what she’s talking about. Carly points out that he must not have read Lulu’s latest article in The Invader.

“MOTION DENIED: Congresswoman gives husband paralytic drugs for months,” reads the headline. Carly smirks as she shows him the article on her computer screen. She is thoroughly convinced that this is pure poetic justice.

Drew brushes it off as tabloid gossip and insists it isn’t accurate. He is clearly pissed that Carly is enjoying his misery after he was a prisoner in his own body.

Carly fires back and tells him to look on the bright side: he gets to play his favorite role as the victim again. She adds that if Willow loses her seat in Congress, he might just get his position back as congressman.

Ava and Sonny Clash

Meanwhile, Ava stops by to see Sonny.

“Where’s Avery?” he asks.

Ava lets him know that Avery is at home. She isn’t letting him anywhere near their daughter—not after what he did at Pentonville. Sonny swears he had nothing to do with the prison beating. Ava shuts him down, explaining that is exactly why she wants to spare Avery from his lies.

Sonny insists that Avery shouldn’t know about any of this and declares that they are done talking. He warns her that if she doesn’t bring Avery over next Saturday, he will come get the girl himself, and Ava won’t like how that goes down. Ava asks if he plans on having her roughed up just like he did to Sidwell, but Sonny simply shuts the door in her face.

Carly Supports Sonny

Later, Carly swings by to visit Sonny with Donna, and he is thrilled to see them both. Donna asks if Avery is around because they have big plans together, but Sonny gently tells her that Avery won’t be able to make it. Donna suggests they make friendship bracelets instead. Once Donna steps away, Sonny asks Carly if there is something specific she wants to discuss with him.

To his surprise, Carly tells him that she believes he is innocent. She knows he is done with the mob. Sonny is happy to hear that, but he reveals that Dante doesn’t believe him.

Sonny admits that all he cares about right now are his kids. Ava is already pushing back, which doesn’t surprise Carly at all. Still, Sonny worries that Carly might try to keep Donna away from him too.

Carly tells him Donna would never allow that. She has to get to a meeting, so she leaves Donna with him.

He sits Donna down and explains that she might hear some bad things about him at school. He tells her the most important thing is that she believes he is telling the truth.

“Because you’re the best dad in the whole entire world,” she says.

Monet Meets with Chase

Elsewhere, Chase meets up with Monet. She asks if he wants to skip the small talk and move straight to filing for separation. Before they can dive into the heavy conversation, her phone rings, and she steps away to take the call.

While she is distracted, Chase gets an alert from Tracy on his phone, urging him to check The Invader. He opens the article right away. By the time Monet walks back over, Chase is already rushing out the door and putting their meeting on hold for another time.

Jordan Has Big News for Curtis

Over at the hospital, Jordan drops in to see Curtis. She mentions that she meant to bring him some coffee, but couldn’t, and asks how he’s feeling. Curtis tells her he feels better, though the doctors want to keep him longer for observation. He adds that he’s just happy to spend time with her.

However, Jordan drops a major bomb: Michael managed to secure her a spot with a facial reconstruction specialist in Germany. Curtis thinks it sounds amazing and tells her she should head home and start packing right away. Jordan hesitates and suggests canceling the trip or staying behind to spend time with him, but Curtis insists she goes. As Jordan continues to second-guess the decision, Curtis promises he will be fine.

Jordan asks if he would really leave her if the roles were reversed, and Curtis admits he would probably put up the same fight she is giving now. Still, he advises her to stop worrying about him and put herself first. He adds that it would break his heart if she passed up such an incredible opportunity.

Later, Monet shows up and wonders why she didn’t hear from Curtis. He wants to know what angle she is working.

Monet explains that she went over his files. She notes that the judge in his case made a few errors and that he is due a fair trial. She points out that while every defendant is entitled to an appeal, Curtis stands a very good chance of winning.

She suggests that she take on his case. Naturally, Curtis is reluctant, but Monet promises she is the best at what she does. To that end, they shake hands on it. Monet then reveals that there’s one more thing. “Jordan’s my sister,” she says as she shocks him.

The Invader Article Causes a Real Stir

In the kitchen at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn cuts strawberries while Michael tells her she can blame him all she wants. She fires back and accuses him of manipulating the situation by having Willow move back into the gatehouse.

Just then, Tracy bursts in with massive news about Willow drugging Drew on Sidwell’s orders.

“Are you having a stroke, Granny?” Brook Lynn asks.

Josh Swickard as Harrison Chase on GH.

Tracy tells them to pull out their phones and check The Invader if they don’t believe her. She finds the whole situation ironic, noting that Drew trapped Willow in a marriage, and Willow trapped him in a wheelchair. Tracy wonders what Willow might do to the rest of them if she could do something that horrific to her own husband, and Michael agrees. He adds that Willow isn’t going to take this exposure lying down. Moments later, Chase storms in with the article open on his phone. He begs Brook Lynn to tell him she had nothing to do with it.

Brook Lynn makes it clear that she had nothing to do with it. Tracy chimes in, pointing out that Lulu is a good reporter who was just doing her job.

However, Chase insists the article is a pack of lies. Brook Lynn reminds him that The Invader would not have published the story if it hadn’t been vetted first.

“That’s the real Willow,” Tracy adds.

Chase reminds them that they all hate Willow, and he promises they won’t get away with it anymore.

“I’m going to stop you,” he says as he marches out.

Later, Jordan arrives and asks to speak with Michael alone. She then reveals that she is taking him up on the offer to go to Germany.

Willow Comes Clean to Britt

Katelyn MacMullen as Willow Tait on General Hospital.

Speaking of Willow, Britt shows up at her place while she is on a phone call.

“Now is not a good time,” Willow says, trying to brush her off.

Britt refuses to leave and brings up the news in The Invader. She explains that the story makes total sense to her. Working in the medical field herself, she knows firsthand how ruthless Sidwell can be. She assumes Sidwell must have backed Willow into a corner to force her into drugging Drew.

To Britt’s surprise, Willow admits he didn’t have to twist her arm very hard at all. She opens up about feeling trapped and desperate, not knowing what else to do. Britt nods in understanding and agrees that Sidwell is awful. Willow reveals that in exchange for giving Drew the paralytic, Sidwell promised to secure her a seat in Congress so she could do his bidding.

Britt tries to figure out why Sidwell would blab now and asks if there is any real proof. Willow points out that Drew himself is the proof, and he despises her. She explains that the leverage she held over Drew died with Brennan, so nothing is stopping Drew from exposing her now. Britt, however, thinks there might still be one very good reason for Drew to keep quiet.

Britt thinks that Drew won’t want the world seeing him as a fool.

Just then, Chase arrives and says he is sorry about what Willow is going through. He tells her he confronted Michael, Tracy, and Brook Lynn, but they denied having anything to do with the article. He adds that he will support her and help her fight this.

Drew Updates Ava

Later, Ava meets with Drew and tells him all about her visit with Sonny. Drew is glad their plan is working, but he points out that they have more pressing issues to deal with. He shows her the new article on his phone, noting that Brennan is back in the news—and it isn’t good news.

Ava points out that Willow gave Brennan the same paralytic drug. She suggests they might be able to use that information to help Nina.

Drew points out that the PCPD might start looking into Brennan’s disappearance and realize Ava was the last to see him. She suggests their best bet is to bury Willow.
