Spoilers for General Hospital on Monday, September 11, 2023: Sonny’s loved ones rally around him; Maxie briefs Felicia; Esme makes herself scarce; TJ and Molly make an announcement; and Spencer makes a romantic gesture.

General Hospital Episode Recap Monday, September 11, 2023: A New Young Love Begins

Felicia points out that Lucy says that the claim is baseless and Maxie tells her that was before they knew it was Tracy who was suing them. Maxie mentions that Tracy hired Jackson Montgomery to represent her and Felicia says that she knows him. Mac comes in and adds that Jackson could have put Felicia in jail.

 Mac takes the kids to get food to make for dinner and Felicia tells Maxie about her and Lucy’s adventure in Pine Vally. Maxie worries that Jackson is out for revenge but vows that she is going to make her dreams for her family happen no matter what. She and Felicia discuss Felicia’s adventurous side and Felicia promises that she is going down a new path because she knows Maxie, her kids, and Mac, need her. At Kelly’s Georgie confides in Mac that she’s worried about her Mom and Mac promises that Maxie will be fine. 

Michael is in the hall at the courthouse and he promises to keep Carly updated. When Dex gets there they talk about the flash drive. Dex thinks there’s no way the feds got any evidence from it because it was too destroyed but Michael’s not convinced since they are charging Sonny. Inside the courtroom, Kristina is glad that Michael and Dante are there.

Diane and Nina arrive and Sonny is brought in. He promises Nina and Kristina that everything will be fine and then everyone is shocked when the prosecutor asks the judge to dismiss the charges because the evidence isn’t what they thought it was. The judge is unhappy but does it and tells Sonny he is free to go. Diane warns him that charges can be refiled before she leaves.

Nina asks Sonny if he’s ready to go home but he wants to talk to Dex first. He asks Dex why he wasn’t arrested and Dex tells him about Carly’s call. Sonny tells him that the crates were filled with coffee and the charges against the other guys will be dropped too. He gives him the night off and goes home with Nina.

Violet isn’t sure they should eat at Kelly’s because they have an opposing softball team but Carly assures her that they are only enemies on the field. When Esme gets there Liz talks to her about how big Ace is and tells her that she is glad they are doing well. Jake wants to stay behind when Violet, Liz, and Finn leave and then Charlotte comes in and they share a sundae while talking and smiling at each other. Carly is happy to hear the charges against Sonny were dropped and Esme asks if she has any vacant rooms for rent.
