General Hospital Episode Recap Friday, September 22, 2023:
GH Recap Today
Spencer visits Trina who mentions that she is busy. Trina is working on an essay for her art seminar and tells Spencer she will talk to him in a few hours. However, Spencer refuses to leave and they end up kissing. Trina stops him, saying he is distracting her and that she needs to finish her paper before they can go out to New York. Although Spencer is confident that she will finish it, Trina insists that she needs to get it done so they can enjoy the weekend together. Spencer then tells her that he had already gotten them prime tickets to see Moulin Rouge and made dinner reservations at Essence. Trina is excited but refuses to pack until she finishes her essay. Trina kisses Spencer before he leaves, and he says that’s the last thing she should do if she really wants him to leave. He tells her to type fast outside the door because New York City awaits them.

Esme arrives at the hospital with Ace and bumps into Portia. Portia compliments Esme on doing a great job with her son. Esme mentions that Spencer has been a big help, and she also thanks Portia for recommending the co-parenting class, which has been beneficial. Despite Esme’s past behavior towards Portia’s daughter, Portia is kind to her and offers to assist her in any way possible. Curtis returns as Esme departs, and Portia expresses her gratitude towards him for informing her about Trina’s journey.
Jordan arrives at the hospital and greets TJ. He is thrilled to have been asked to assist in surgery that morning. Jordan expresses how proud of him she is. However, she also reminds him that things will change once the baby comes into the picture. TJ assures her he is fully prepared for that if and when it happens. TJ expresses his worries about being a good dad, but Jordan encourages him. She reminds him there is no road map for raising a child, but he and Molly will figure it out together. Jordan jokes that she is still too young to be called a grandma despite her being an incredible mom.

Alexis pays a visit to Molly at court, who tells her that things didn’t go as planned. Soon after, Andrea calls Molly, requesting an immediate meeting. Despite Molly’s promise to wait at the courthouse, she and Alexis can’t help but speculate on the reason for the meeting. As Molly becomes increasingly anxious, Alexis comforts her and assures her of her support. Andrea eventually arrives and surprises Molly with the news that she is pregnant. Molly is overjoyed and can’t contain her excitement. The girls decide to celebrate, and although Molly invites Alexis, she suggests they go without her. While Alexis is thrilled for Molly, she reminds her to remain grounded. Molly gives Alexis the green light to share the news with Sam and Kristina.
Upon arrival at Charlies, Blaze is greeted by Kristina, who is amazed to see her. Although Blaze doesn’t recognize Kristina, she’s informed that her music is always on Kristina’s playlist. Kristina kindly offers to reserve a table for her, but Blaze prefers to wait at the bar. Kristina also suggests getting her a drink, but Blaze requests some water while waiting for her business meeting. During their conversation, Blaze reveals that she is currently seeking new management due to her previous manager being a total creep, and she doesn’t want to make that mistake again. Blaze takes a moment to watch Kristina’s singing performance on the internet and thoroughly enjoys it.

Carly speaks with Diane to determine if she had enough to secure Drew’s release from Pentonville. Diane informs her about her meeting with Robert and the option of a second circuit court of appeals. Judge Kim seems to be facilitating the justice department’s offer of a deal to Carly. Although they know Carly is anxious to free Drew from Pentonville, they offer to release him from prison in exchange for information about Sonny. Diane cautions that this might just be a political ploy. Carly is at a loss for words but refuses to accept such a deal. She won’t be the one to put Sonny behind bars, not even if it means saving Drew. She despises the judge for using Drew as a pawn. Carly believes that if Sonny were incarcerated, they would all be in danger and have targets on their backs, which Drew would not want. Carly believes their only chance is demonstrating the judge’s misconduct for political gain. Diane agrees to investigate but gets a call and informs Carly that Drew has been attacked in Pentonville and is en route to the hospital in an ambulance.
Drew takes a shower. While he is there, some other Pentonville men attack him from behind. Drew fights back but succumbs to his injuries and falls to the ground, bleeding. Cyrus arrives to find Drew unconscious. He quickly summons a guard and insists that Drew be taken to the hospital immediately.
