General Hospital Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Friday, September 8, 2023:
Spoilers for General Hospital on Thursday, September 7, 2023: Dex opens up to Josslyn. Anna is apologetic. Eddie Maine is in his element. Cody has a revelation. Ava gives advice to Nina.
Anna is approached by Nina, who asks for information on Sonny and whether she can assist Diane with a case. Ava arrives, and shares that the bullet fired at the Metro Court was intended for Sonny or Anna, but it hit Curtis instead, leaving him in a wheelchair. Ava apologizes if she came off the wrong way, and Anna exits. Ava checks on Nina’s well-being and assures her that Sonny has overcome many obstacles in the past. However, she encourages Nina to face the reality that there will always be something else, even if Sonny is released from this situation. Despite this, Nina insists that she will marry Sonny, and no one can stop her.
Josslyn discovers Dex feeling down and blaming himself for Sonny’s situation. She tries to uplift him and advises him not to blame himself, but he reveals that he was the last person to have the flash drive and discarded it in the trash. He feels guilty for being careless, which resulted in Sonny’s capture. Josslyn takes responsibility, admitting that she was the one who wanted to use the flash drive. Even though Dex disagrees, she explains that she needed it to help her mother and him. She encourages him to stop blaming himself for something that wasn’t his fault and for which Sonny was responsible. Dex notes that if Sonny goes to prison, it will leave a hole in his life.
Portia has to run an errand at the hospital, so she leaves Curtis alone for a while. Marshall appears and informs Curtis that he has to go to The Savoy. When he calls out for Portia before leaving, Curtis accuses him of thinking he is incapable of staying at the house alone. Marshall apologizes and departs. Later on, Anna comes to see Curtis, but he calls her out for thinking he would need a babysitter. Curtis apologizes and explains that it was his first time being alone since the shooting. Anna reassures him that the bullet wasn’t intended for him and apologizes for what happened. She explains that someone was after her, not him. Curtis initially felt hatred towards her and Sonny, but he eventually realized that it could have been karma and accepted it. When Portia returns and sees Anna, she asks her what made her think it was a good idea to visit on the outside. Portia calls out Anna for living a dangerous life and putting her husband in a wheelchair. Portia begs her not to come back to their home.
Eddie cannot believe Sonny came through for him. He, Leo and Olivia arrive at the studio and are ready to make music. Due to Sonny’s record label paying, he was hoping to see Sonny, but Olivia advises him that’s not possible at the moment. Leo is fascinated by the setup of the studio. Eddie wants to make a demo. They set up the mics and are ready to make it all happen. Leo encourages Eddie to knock them dead with his music. He goes into the studio and begins playing his guitar and singing.
Dr. Montague wonders what is happening and why Cody is in Sasha’s room at Fercliff. Cody then puts two and two together and realizes how Gladys and the doctor are connected. Cody calls him a son of a bitch. Dr. Montague then reminds Cody of the rules, but Cody doesn’t buy his shrink act. He asks how much Gladys is paying him to keep Sasha drugged. Dr. Montague says he will see to it that he gets a more potent dose of medication.
The doctor wants to take Sasha with him, but Cody stops him, and they get into a huge fight. Later, Cody, dressed in Montague’s jacket, takes Sasha out, and the nurse at the front desk questions where he is taking the patient. He says she needs some natural stimulation and is taking her for fresh air and a walk. Montague is left in Sasha’s room, all tied up. Cody and Sasha go on the run. The nurse then puts out an alert that Cody is wearing Dr. Montague’s clothes and has Sasha with him.
