Big News: General Hospital actor, Matt Cohen (Dr. Griffin Munro) is set to direct a new film which will star his real-life wife, Mandy Musgrave. Cohen revealed the news exclusively to Nerds and Beyond.
The film is titled “Mama Bear” and Cohen is getting ready to launch a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo. The short was written by Lee Ehlers. Cohen revealed that the lead character, “has 24 hours to save her four year old and find him a liver transplant, and the only viable donor is the ex-kingpin/drug lord/piece of s*** boyfriend of hers.” Cohen also has hopes that the short will later be developed into a feature-length film.
Other cast members indlude; Rob Benedict, Richard Speight, Jr., Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Jason Manns, Jim Beaver, and Adam Fergus. This is his wife’s return to acting. She is best known for playing Chelsea Benson on Days of Our Lives from 2004 – 2005 as well as Ahsley Davis on South of Nowhere and Dakota on Cowgirl Up.
