Martin is already feeling the pressure, with his political future on shaky ground and a buried secret from his past threatening to come back up. Joey’s move could be exactly what he needs, or it could make things a whole lot worse.
Vernon’s Medical Mystery and Madison’s Intel
Meanwhile, the health concerns at the Dupree household are far from over. Anita (Tamara Tunie) is finally starting to see some progress with her treatment, but Vernon (Clifton Davis) is dealing with troubling memory lapses.
On Thursday, he gets an important update from Madison (Kenjah McNeil) that could shift how he sees everything moving forward. Vernon already has a lot weighing on him, so it’s safe to say this news adds even more pressure.
Vanessa Drops in on Anita
Speaking of Anita, she gets an unexpected visit from Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli). Showing up unannounced is very on brand for her, and she has long-standing ties to the Dupree family through her friendships with Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) and Dani (Karla Mosley). Still, you have to wonder what brought her there this time.
Ashley and the Men in Her Life
Elsewhere, Ashley (Jen Jacob) is feeling pulled in every direction. Derek (Ben Gavin) keeps warning her, while Grayson’s (Jordi Vilasuso) behavior continues to raise red flags. She has more than enough to deal with, and as always, Fairmont Crest is serving up the drama with Ashley right in the middle of it.
Ren’s Bombshell Sends Shockwaves
Finally, the red market investigation is hitting a breaking point. Ren (Donny Carrington) drops a bombshell that sends Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Smitty (Mike Manning) into full panic mode. They have been trying to stay one step ahead, but this latest twist makes it clear they might be in deeper than they ever expected. And in this world, panic usually leads to mistakes, something they really cannot afford right now.
