Soap Opera News has the latest soap opera comings and goings for the week of June 1! This week’s news includes a major exit on General Hospital, some new faces on Days of Our Lives, a big crossover event for Beyond the Gates, and more. Who’s Coming to Beyond the Gates?

  • That was Bill Winkler playing the role of Brian Baldwin. Winkler made his debut this week as Derek’s father while sharing a couple of scenes with Jen Jacob’s AshleyMorgan and Jibre Hordges’ Jacob Hawthorne.
  • Chadwick Farley was back as Liam.
  • Missing-in-action mother Hawthorne is back: Monique Mosee is on hand for some more scenes as Darlene, who will once again clash with Leslie Thomas.
  • The board at Garland Memorial is seeking to put in place a new chief of staff in the wake of Lia Whitmore’s actions. That being said, members of the board have nominated Monica, Shanice’s aunt, for the position. So look for Iona Morris Jackson, who plays the role, to be back on the scene when she gives Vernon an answer about his job offer.
  • Speaking of Shanice, gear up for some more Ernestine Johnson. Her character struggles with her grief after Derek’s passing.
  • Najah Jackson pops back in as Samantha Richardson-Smith. Kat and Chelsea will show Samantha just how much she means to them.
  • Maurice P. Kerry is back as Randy Parker. Randy has a busy week. Not only do he and Hayley discuss their long con against Bill, but he and Joey are also set to have a meeting with The Impaler.
  • Jaden Lucas Miller also locks in some more appearances as Tyrell. This week, he and Jessica will make a bold move.
  • As we mentioned, Jessica, that means the portrayer, Camryn Jade, will be on for some more scenes.
  • Gear up to see more of Darryl W. Handy as Marcel Malone.

The Big Crossover

  • Get ready for the biggest soap crossover of the decade. Genoa City residents are taking a hop over to Fairmont Crest. Faces like Eric Braeden (Victor), Bryton James (Devon), Susan Walters (Diane), Michael Mealor (Kyle), Melissa Ordway (Abby), and Peter Bergman (Jack) are set for Y&R/BTG crossover event happening this June.

Comings for Days of Our Lives the Week of June 1

  • Wally Kurth clocks in more airtime as Justin Kiriakis. He will be sharing some father-son scenes with Alex as they discuss fatherhood.
  • Richard Wharton is back for some more scenes as Dr. Rolf.
  • Miles Anderson returns as Foster. And guess what? Foster and Julie go out on a first date.
  • Salem is welcoming a new face! The soap welcomes newbie Sarah Bartholomew as Destiny, a patient with whom Sarah struggles. Bartholomew is credited with shows such as Grotesquerie, The Chosen, and more.
  • John Hartmann is set to make appearances on the show as Dr. George. This week, he will meet with Chanel to discuss her cancer and the effects on the baby. Hartmann is known for his roles on shows such as The Guardian, Without a Trace, Judging Amy, and more.

Who’s Coming to General Hospital?

  • Andrew Hawkes locks in more scenes as WSB director Ross Cullum, who apparently has some grim news to deliver.
  • Kathleen Gati makes more appearances. Her character, Dr. Liesl Obrecht, will issue a warning in this week’s episodes.
  • Nearly 30 years since his last soap opera appearance, Maxwell Caulfield surprised fans with a one-off appearance as Apollo, the man whom Ava and Alexis spoke with on Friday’s GH.

Who is Leaving General Hospital?

  • After three years as Kristina Corinthos-Davis, Kate Mansi has opted not to renew her contract. The actress is set to make her final appearance on the show sometime in June as Kristina considers attending medical school.

The Bold and the Beautiful Comings and Goings

  • Among the surprising returns on B&B was none other than Darin Brooks, who made his onscreen return on his birthday. Brooks, who is back as Wyatt Spencer, is apparently on contract for this run.
  • Meanwhile, his returning co-star, Denise Richards, is recurring as Shauna Fulton.
  • Kayla Ehle is back as Michaela, a Forrester model.
  • Shannon McMullen is also back as Willow.

Who’s Coming to The Young and the Restless?

  • Lauralee Bell is back again for more scenes as Christine Blair Romalotti.
  • Roger Howarth is slated for more screen time as Matt Clark.
  • Vivica A. Fox is back this week as Stephanie Simmons. Stephanie gets some surprising news when she learns that Nate put her name in the running to be Chief of Staff of Genoa City Memorial Hospital.
  • Tamara Braun locks in more appearances as Sienna Bacall.
