Actor and musician, Giovanni Mazza (Gio, General Hospital), is in the new anthology drama, Sunfish (& Other Stories on Green Lake), where he portrays the character, “Enzo.”

Mazza posted to Instagram announcing that the film has been chosen to compete in the U.S. Dramatic Category at Sundance 2025!

The feature film follows the residents of a small town and the lake that binds them together. The project, written and directed by Sierra Falconer, stars Jonathan Stoddard, Michela Luci and Wayne Duvall.

Additionally, Mazza writes, “What a great experience to be a part of. Can’t wait for the World Premiere! It’s truly one of a kind.”

It was at the age of 6 or 7, that Mazza started thinking about becoming an actor. And it was when he was 16, during COVID, that he seriously began to pursue his dream. A few years later on May 15, 2024 his dream came true when he debuted on GH as Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri.

The Illinois native is also a violinist. Mazza began playing the violin at three years old. He has showcased his musical talents at countless NBA halftime shows and several NBA All-Star games. And in a wonderful illustration of life imitating art, “Gio” is a violinist in Port Charles as well!
