Lawless, who was born on November 30, 1960, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to parents Anne and Bob Lawless, celebrated her 58th birthday. At the age of 9, she moved with her family to Jacksonville and graduated from Sandalwood High School, Stetson University, and the University of Cincinnati—College-Conservatory of Music.
