It’s Almost Time for John Black’s Return on Days Of Our Lives!

Since last year, fan favorite Drake Hogestyn has not been seen on ‘Days Of Our Lives’ as John Black. Last year, Hogestyn was injured while filming on set when he was required to break through a prop door which was not properly put together. He ran full speed toward the door and smashed headfirst into it leading to severe head injuries. He was later hospitalized in May, 2016 which saw his character being temporarily written out. 


In September, 2016 Hogestyn was welcomed back as he returned to work. Given the show’s taping schedule which results in the show being aired approximately 6 months after filming, Hogestyn won’t be back on screen until sometime in April, 2017 or thereabout. Recent spoilers for the NBC daytime drama reveals that Marlena [Deidre Hall] has a fantasy of him on April 3, 2017. Though no exact date has been announced for his on screen return, viewers can expect to see him at anytime hence the need to tune in weekdays on NBC.
