Jermaine Rivers made his soap opera and The Young and the Restless debut on February 3, 2025, when he took on the role of Damian Kane—the real one! In an interesting story plot twist, while viewers were initially led to believe that Nathan Owens was playing the role of Nate’s (Sean Dominic) half-brother, it turns out he wasn’t!
In light of the big casting news, Rivers is ecstatic about his newfound soap career, so much so that he had to revel in the excitement with a post on Instagram. Collaging a portrait of himself alongside the Y&R logo featuring vets Melody Thomas Scott, Eric Braeden, and Peter Bergman, the actor wrote, “The Real Damian Kane has Entered the Building!!! I’m super excited and feeling extremely grateful to be joining the cast of The Young and the Restless!!! Things are about to get a lil intense in Genoa City…. Let’s Gooooo.”
While Jermaine Rivers is new to soaps, he has an acting career spanning back to 2013. His list of credits includes some big-name shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, MacGyver, Dynasty, The Resident, and more.
