Kelly (Cody Bell, General Hospital) was donned this prestigious title by Benard on a recent episode of State of Mind with Maurice Benard. The two covered a range of topics, from Kelly’s background, his time in the military and, of course, acting and soaps.
Born in Japan, Kelly has lived all over the world in places like Guam, the Philippines, Maryland, New York, and Los Angeles. Known in soap opera land for his work on General Hospital and One Life to Live, Kelly has also appeared in television and film and is additionally known for projects such as; Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), and Flashforward (2009).
Josh Kelly Talks Serving In the Military
Acting was always Kelly’s primary career goal. However, prior to acting, he served in the military, where he did four deployments and fought in the Iraq War. Kelly spoke candidly about his time in the military, fighting in the war, and the affect it had on him. He talked about how humor, his secret sauce, was fundamental and helped him make it through those tough times. And then when he began acting, how acting helped him face, process, and overcome post war trauma.
