New reports confirm that Mansi, who has played Kristina Corinthos-Davis since 2023, decided not to renew her contract with the ABC daytime drama. Well-known soap journalist Stephanie Sloane confirmed the news.
Kate Mansi Speaks Out About Her Exit
In a statement about her departure, Mansi shared that the decision was not an easy one.
“I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave General Hospital. I have a few new projects that require my full attention, and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles,” the actress explained.
Mansi joined General Hospital in 2023 following her Emmy-winning run as Abigail Deveraux on Days of our Lives.
Frank Valentini Reacts to Kate Mansi’s Departure
General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini also commented on the actress’s exit.
“We love Kate and support her decision to leave. The door is always open, and we appreciate all that she added to the show these past three years,” Valentini said.
