Delon de Metz is finally getting his well-deserved time to shine as Zende on The Bold and the Beautiful! It is a rare treat when Zende is featured heavily throughout an entire week, but for the week of October 5–9, 2026, he was front and center—and we loved every single second of it. Given rich, emotional material to work with, de Metz sank his teeth into the storyline and delivered a standout performance that reminded everyone just how incredible he truly is.
A Heartbreaking Confrontation at Forrester Creations
In the gripping October 9 episode, Zende was put on the spot when his grandfather Eric and uncle Ridge confronted him at Forrester Creations. The two fashion patriarchs were stunned after Electra revealed she overheard Dylan encouraging Zende in the design room to take a position at Logan.
Naturally upset, Eric and Ridge demanded answers. Ridge took a moment to lecture Zende. He reminded him what a huge opportunity it is to work for a high-fashion powerhouse like theirs.
Zende, however, didn’t need the reminder. He knows how lucky he is, and he certainly doesn’t take his place at the company, in America, or even his very life for granted.
Zende Opens Up About His Emotional Past
In a deeply moving moment, Zende brought up his childhood and how his adoptive mother rescued him from an orphanage. “She saved me,” an emotional Zende recalled.
Although he rarely speaks about it, Zende admitted he still vividly remembers his birth parents and his little brother. “Their bodies wasting away, I can still see it,” he shared through tears, pointing out how AIDS took so many innocent lives. He delivered a fierce warning to Ridge: “Don’t you ever insinuate that I don’t know how lucky I am.”
Zende expressed how proud he was to be adopted, proud to be a Forrester, and proud to walk the halls of Forrester Creations. “This company, this family, they are a part of me,” he added.
The Breakdown of a Family Business
Despite his gratitude, Zende made it clear that he should be much higher up on the corporate ladder by now. When Eric countered that Zende is still young and has plenty of time, Zende pointed out he has been hearing that same excuse for years. Ridge argued that success takes time, but Zende quickly noted that it didn’t take RJ years to get his shot.
Zende admitted that despite his love for them, he feels deeply disrespected, forgotten, and treated like an outsider. Expressing that he wants to return to true designing, Zende dropped a bombshell: he gave his notice and announced he was officially leaving to join Hope (Annika Noelle) at Logan.
Refusing to lose his grandson, Eric stepped in and stopped him in his tracks. He insisted that Zende belongs at Forrester Creations. Eric passionately warned that letting things end this way is exactly how a family business begins to crumble.
A Masterclass from Delon de Metz
Throughout this intense storyline and especially during these emotional scenes, Delon de Metz delivered acting worth talking about and worth watching over and over again. He expertly balanced raw anger, years of pent-up frustration, and vulnerable heartbreak with breathtaking intensity.
De Metz brought a deep, human layer to Zende’s struggle, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is one of the most compelling talents on daytime television today. When given the spotlight, de Metz doesn’t just step up—he commands the screen!
