Here’s some amazing General Hospital news to close out the week: Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the ABC daytime sudser this July, according to Deadline.

In a comment to the website, Thiebaud gushed, “It is good to be home.” However, what we don’t know yet is if she will be reprising her Emmy award-winning role of Dr. Britt Westbourne or if she will be playing a new character.

Thiebaud joined General Hospital back in 2012 on a recurring status. She played the role of Britt on and off until the character was killed off by a serial killer in 2023. Prior to her exit, Thiebaud took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series in 2022.

Outside of her role on GH, Thiebaud played the recurring role of Zoey Burge on Days of our Lives and Eva Vasquez on Station 19.

I’m thrilled Kelly T is back. Praying for the Retcon of all Retcons and a return of Dr. Britt Westbourne Faison.

Other than the characters of Maxie Jones and Elizabeth Webber Baldwin, there’s really no female characters in the 30-40 range whose histories interest me. I used to like BLQ but I feel the talented actress playing her was gravely miscast and a rewrite of character into daily dramatic tears, black mourning Victorian widow’s weeds, and blaming others. (No fabulous singing and dancing? No fabulous clothes horse? No fabulous Man Eating karaoke moments?)

Poor Lulu Spencer’s writing has doomed her to social media hate. Kristina and Molly Davis are snoozefests and always have been. At least Molly reads. Willow has always been a cringe fest. Sasha has always been tragic.

Love Kelly and I’m happy she’s coming back! I hope it’s to play Britt and that she and Jason pick back up where they left off! 🙏🏼 Real chemistry between the two of them. Can’t handle a romantic repeat of Jarly.🙈 Please. Ever. Lol
