Kristen Alderson and her brother, Eddie Alderson, are making a special family appearance on The Price Is Right on Thursday, October 22, 2026! The former One Life to Live stars helped make their mother Kathy’s longtime dream come true, and Kristen is sharing the heartwarming story behind their unforgettable trip to California.
Kristen, best known to soap fans as Starr Manning on One Life to Live, announced the news on Instagram. She revealed that the family adventure was about much more than a game show.
Kristen, Eddie, and Kathy Alderson to Appear on Price is Right
In her post, she wrote “The Price is Right episode airs tomorrow THURSDAY Oct 22nd at 11am!! This was one of the best trips of my life from beginning to end. This past July my brother and I saw an opportunity to make my mom’s dream come true. We took a 3 night trip to California for my mom to be in the audience of the price is right for the first time in her life and it was everything and more than we could’ve ever imagined!”
Kristen continued, “We got to spend nearly every second with my best friend Brittany, laughing our heads off. We got to see our great friend Nic & his wonderful husband Ty & son Staton. We got to crack up over old times wth Trevor. I finally got to meet @thecourtneyhope in person who is just incredible & she reunited me with Bella who is so lucky to have her as a mom now.
She admitted, “I was so nervous before the trip because it was my first time sleeping away from Kiera since I had to for my sister-in-law‘s bachelorette party when she was four months old, but Kiera stayed home with Taylor and his mom Kristi who was visiting and Kiera had a great time without me. I was so proud of her.”
Courtney Hope Comments
In closing, Alderson said, “Last but not least the experience at price is right felt more special than a wedding day for my mom. She has watched religiously since before I was born and us growing up watching it with her and then being able to be there with her experiencing it for the first time, I couldn’t stop crying the whole day lol it was so special doing something specifically for my mom when she does for everyone else all the time. Also this was the first trip that just my mom brother and I have taken together for over 11 years so that alone was the most special thing ever.”
Courtney Hope chimed in in the comments section, writing, “It was the best getting to finally hang out! Me and Bella love you, girl.”
Putting Soap Rumors to Rest
The Alderson family is television royalty when it comes to daytime dramas. While Kristen is also well-known for playing Kiki Jerome on General Hospital, her brother, Eddie Alderson, is famous for portraying Matthew Buchanan on One Life to Live.
When fans recently spotted Kristen back in Los Angeles hanging out with Courtney Hope (who plays Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless), online rumors immediately sparked that she might be returning to daytime television as a recast Summer Newman. However, this fun family trip to game show history puts those casting rumors to rest!
Be sure to tune in to watch Kristen, Eddie, and their mom Kathy Alderson on The Price is Right on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
