Hallmark Media has announced the premiere date for its all-new limited romance series, Paris Is Always a Good Idea. Starring Lacey Chabert and Scott Michael Foster, the six-episode series will debut on July 30 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then stream every Thursday through August 27, exclusively on Hallmark+.
Based on the bestselling novel by Jenn McKinlay, the romantic drama takes viewers on a journey across Europe, blending romance, self-discovery, and second chances.
What Is Paris Is Always a Good Idea About?
Career-focused nonprofit executive Chelsea Martin, played by Chabert, travels to Paris in hopes of securing a major donor. Her plans take an unexpected turn when her rival-turned-ally, Jason Knightly, played by Foster, is assigned to work alongside her.
While in Paris, Chelsea receives a heartfelt message from her late mother. Encouraged by her father and sister, she embarks on a personal journey to reconnect with three former loves she left behind during her time in Europe.
Her travels take her from the streets of Paris to the rolling hills of Ireland and the vineyards of Spain as she revisits her past and discovers what may lie ahead.

Hallmark Teases an Emotional Summer Romance
Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming at Hallmark Media, praised the series in a statement.
“With its rich characters, breathtaking locations and deeply emotional romance, Paris Is Always a Good Idea is the beautiful, escapist journey we know Hallmark viewers will fall in love with this summer.”
The network also unveiled a first-look promo and promotional image, giving viewers a glimpse of the sweeping European scenery and romantic storyline that awaits.
Behind the Scenes
Paris Is Always a Good Idea is produced by Dynamic Television and Clapperboard Studios.
Executive producers include Carrie Stein, Daniel March, Mike Benson, Rachel Gesua, Heidi Cole McAdams, and Lauren Muir, who also serves as showrunner. The series is written by McAdams and Muir and is based on McKinlay’s novel of the same name.
