It’s another week, and that means another fashion column. This time, the spotlight for Look of the Week (for July 28 through August 1, 2025) goes to none other than Beyond the Gates’ Tamara Tunie and her ever-fabulous alter ego, Anita Dupree.
Anita, the Dupree matriarch, never misses when it comes to making a statement. Whether it’s a fresh hairstyle, bold jewelry, or eye-catching outfits, she keeps us guessing and keeps the fashion bar high. And this week was no exception.
The long-awaited Articulettes reunion concert finally happened, and Anita showed up in full style force. She changed outfits for different numbers, but one look stood out from the rest and stole our hearts.
Our favorite? A stunning floor-length black gown covered in intricate, sparkling beadwork that gave off this dreamy, web-like design. It wasn’t just pretty: it had texture, drama, and a whole lot of wow. The dress hugged her figure just right with a sleek, fitted silhouette that flared slightly at the bottom for that timeless evening gown vibe.
Let’s talk sleeves. Sheer and bell-shaped, they were decked out with the same detailed embellishments and added a dash of vintage flair.
Her accessories? Bold rings and elegant earrings that played well with the gown, without stealing the show. And that hair — big, silver curls full of presence.
