Soap star, Lynn Herring is celebrating her 63rd birthday today.
Sheryl Lynn Herring was born on September 22, 1958, in Enid, Oklahoma to parents who were from Louisiana. Before acting, Herring was Miss Virginia USA 1977 and was 4th runner-up to Kimberly Tomes for the title of Miss USA 1977. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Louisiana State University, where she was also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Herring is now best known for her work on daytime soap operas. She has played the role of Lucy Coe on General Hospital since 1986. She also played Lucy on Port Charles, Audrey Coleman on As the World Turns and Lisanne Gardner on Days of Our Lives. She earned a couple Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series for her role on GH.
Herring married actor Wayne Northrop (who played Dr. Alex North/Roman Brady on Days of Our Lives, Rex Stanton on Port Charles and Michael Culhane on Dynasty) on May 9, 1981, in Jennings, Louisiana. They have two sons. Northrop and Herring own and run a working cattle ranch in the Madera County area of Raymond.
