Jack is back and he’s here to stay apparently as Jason47 has confirmed that Matthew Ashford’s latest return to Days of Our Lives is on contract. Ashford originally joined the NBC dramatic serial as a recast Jack Deveraux in 1987. He remained with the show until 1993 and returned again in 2001 for a 2-year run which ended in 2003. He returned again in 2004 and remained with the show until his character was once again written off on September 21, 2006. With his on and off status, Ashford reprised the role of Jack in April 2007 briefly and returned to the show full time in September 2011. His stay was short as his character was killed off in April 2012 when Jack died in an elevator crash saving his daughter Abigail. He since then made a few ghostly appearances but returned as a much-alive Jack Deveraux on December 31, 2018. His return is on contract, what does this mean for Jack and his stay in Salem?
