Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, General Hospital) will soon gain a new son-in-law. Benard took to Instagram to announce that his family is expanding; his daughter Cassidy is getting married to Anthony Cammarata. Sharing a picture of the two, Benard quipped, “My baby girl Cassidy is getting married to a great man @anthony_cammarata. They went to Japan, and he surprised her in Disneyland. It truly is a fairy tale.”
The happy couple, who have been together for at least 7 years, recently took a trip to Japan. Anthony made sure Cassidy’s birthday was memorable with a surprise proposal. After she said yes, Anthony couldn’t resist sharing the exciting news with some cute pics and the caption, “Here’s to forever with the love of my life.”
Just days before, he poured his heart out in a birthday message that would make anyone jealous: “Happy birthday to my favorite person! Cassidy you are not only the most amazing person, but no one makes me laugh harder than you do. You have such a caring heart and I love that about you. You’re selfless and the way you care for animals, especially our dogs is beautiful to watch. I’m so happy we get to celebrate you IN JAPAN!🇯🇵 I love you so much.”
Maurice Benard married Paula Smith back in 1990, and they have three daughters and one son. The couple also adopted Paula’s younger sister, Heather, after their mom’s death. Congrats to Cassidy and Anthony on their engagement. (Photo: ABC)
