It was a special day for the Ordway family and an even extra special day in church. The Young and the Restless star Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman Winters) had something special to celebrate over the weekend: the baptism of her daughters, Olivia and Sophie.
Unable to contain her joy, Ordway shared the milestone moment with her followers in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing:
“Olivia and Sophie were baptized today 💧✨ So proud of our sweet girls as they took this beautiful step in their faith. Watching them choose Jesus fills our hearts with so much joy and gratitude.”
Obviously a very meaningful moment, Melissa turned to scripture, quoting 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here!” 🤍
The actress’s post was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
As Melissa put it best:
“A day we’ll remember forever.”
And honestly, so will anyone lucky enough to scroll past this beautiful moment.
On September 22, 2012, Melissa Ordway married actor Justin Gaston. He is known for briefly playing Ben Weston on Days of our Lives and briefly stepping in as Chance Chancellor on Y&R.
