Jeremy Horton is coming home on Days of Our Lives. However, he is going to be looking a bit different this time around as Michael Roark takes over the role, beginning October 3.
Stephanie Johnson was less than enthusiastic when Julie revealed to her, during their chat at the hospital, that her ex, Jeremy, was coming back to Salem soon. According to Julie, Jeremy has a job in town, which is the reason for his return.
Julie’s recent announcement was casual family news. However, it should have served as a bit of a warning in disguise. Ever since she mentioned Jeremy was coming back to town, someone’s been lurking around, stalking Steph with flowers and carrying around a copy of her book, One Stormy Night… It’s starting to get weird.
Now, after taking that big step of moving in with Alex, things take an unexpected turn. In Friday’s episode of Days of Our Lives, Jeremy shows up on Stephanie’s doorstep. No warning, no call—just him, standing there.
Looks like the storm Stephanie wrote about may not be so fictional after all.
Who Plays Jeremy Horton on Days of Our Lives in 2025?
Both Jeremy Allen and Jeffrey Clark briefly portrayed the character back in 1989, but it wasn’t until 2007 that the role was most notably taken on by Hallmark star Trevor Donovan.
Jeremy Horton made his return to Salem on June 1, 2007, when Stephanie Johnson introduced him and his friend, Jett Carver, to her cousin, Chelsea Brady. While Jeremy certainly made a splash, his storyline quickly took a darker turn.
He became romantically involved with Stephanie, but their relationship was far from picture-perfect. Jeremy had a criminal past he wasn’t exactly upfront about, and on top of that, he was emotionally abusive toward Stephanie. His lies and controlling behavior created a deeply toxic dynamic.
Now with Michael Roark stepping into the role, it’s safe to say some old wounds will reopen for Stephanie. But how will this affect her relationship with Alex Kiriakis? Only time will tell!
