Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her numerous television gigs, has died at the age of 39, per reports. A news report from ABC News says that Trachtenberg was found dead Wednesday, February 26, in her NYC apartment just after 8 AM. A cause of death was not revealed at this time.

Born in New York City on October 11, 1985, Trachtenberg’s first credited role came at the age of nine, where she played Nona F. Mecklenberg on the classic 1990s Nickelodeon series “The Adventures of Pete and Pete.”

Trachtenberg began appearing in commercials at the age of 3. She continued to act and dance through her school years, making regular television appearances from the age of 9. She also starred in Harriet the Spy, but it was her role as Buffy’s sister Dawn from the fifth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that really pivoted her acting career to worldwide attention.

Michelle Trachtenberg may be known to daytime soap opera fans for her time as Lily Montgomery on All My Children. Other credits for the actress include Gossip Girl, Mercy, Sleepy Hollow, Criminal Minds, and more.
