Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer, General Hospital) has boarded the cast of a Netflix series. He will play Lyle in season two of Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology series on the streaming platform. Deadline reported the news about the series, a follow-up to The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which also cast Cooper Koch as Erik.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story follows a successful Season 1 for the new franchise which focused on serial killer Dahmer, played by Evan Peters.
Season 2 will follow the real-life brothers who were convicted of murdering their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menéndez, in 1996. Although the siblings later admitted to parricide, they have long maintained that their acts were motivated by physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Following a fresh discovery revealed in May, the case is still unfolding in real-time. Erik and Lyle Menendez filed motions seeking a fresh hearing in response to former Menudo band member Roy Rosselló’s accusations that José Menendez assaulted him when he was 14 years old.
