Kamar de los Reyes has a fun new gig in the pipeline as he’s returning to his cop roots that many daytime fans know him for. de los Reyes is set to guest star on “MacGyver” in the role of Captain Delarosa in the episode titled “Wind + Water” which airs on April 20, 2018. According to TV Insider, the former One Life to Live star’s character will step in as first in charge of a hostage situation. In this episode, MacGyver travels to Puerto Rico to help a friend rebuild his home damaged by Hurricane Maria. While there, he’s taken hostage by robbers in a bank and this is when Kamar’s character steps in.
As to whether he’d ever reprise the role of Antonio Vega which he played on OLTL, he tells TV Insider, “No, his chapter is closed in my heart. I cut those ties in 2009—I think he came full circle and I think he’s done, I’m certainly done. I had an amazing time and I will be forever grateful to One Life to Live, Antonio Vega, and, of course, my wonderful fans for the time I spent there.
