Performers of the Week:
This week General Hospital finally had the opportunity to remember their dear friend Jackie Zeman while giving her character of Bobbie Spencer a powerful send-off.
In order to achieve this monumental task, the entire cast of General Hospital came together to give the absolute best for this television event. As such, it is the cast of General Hospital that has earned Performers of the Week!
From the moment the show opened at Bobbie’s funeral, the tone was set for exactly what we would expect for the next two days. So many memories were shared, important flashbacks spotlighted some of Jackie/Bobbie’s greatest moments, and every actor had an opportunity to find some comfort in the characters of Port Charles.
Guest stars such as Ryan Carnes as Lucas Jones and Brighton Hertford return as the spirit of Bobbie’s daughter Barbara Jean, who had passed away as a child, were on hand to broaden the scope of Bobbie’s passing past the main cast we have weekly.
Laura Wright was selected as Performer of the Week last week on Soap Opera News, and she stayed in top form this week, leading the story of Bobbie’s funeral and helping close the gap in Bobbie’s last efforts to aid women victimized by human trafficking.
Kin Shriner shared so many memorable years alongside Jackie Zeman and stood firm as a champion for the veteran actors who knew Zeman best and carried powerful and memorable stories as Scotty Baldwin and Bobbie Spencer.
Kristina Wagner, Finola Hughes, Genie Francis, and Tristian Rogers filled the framework Kin created with their individual moments, conversations, and memories shared with each other as well as Barbara Jean herself.

Honorary Mentions:
Can we talk about the talent of Eric Martsolf and Emily O’Brien, as they had us glued to our screens this week as emotional wrecks? Martsolf’s and O’Brien’s portrayal of Brady and Theresa’s anguish and helplessness was incredibly powerful and added a layer of depth to their characters. The chemistry between the two added to the emotional impact of the storyline. Their performances truly exemplify why they are beloved soap opera actors and true champions in the genre. Congrats on getting the honorary mentions this week.
