Carson Boatman was chosen as Soap Opera News’ Performer of the Week!
With his powerful performance in this week’s gut-wrenching confrontational scenes between Johnny and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) on Days of Our Lives, Boatman has undoubtedly locked in his Emmy reel for next year.
In story, Roman (Josh Taylor) almost told Johnny how he was the product of rape but held back his tongue. The deep secret finally came to light as Johnny persisted in getting the remaining details his grandfather refused to divulge. Albeit reluctantly, Kate (Lauren Koslow) filled Johnny in. She told him that the woman his father raped was his mother and that’s how he was conceived.
Fueled by this shocking truth, Johnny stormed over to the DiMera mansion to confront his dad, and the encounter escalated into a physical altercation when Johnny punched his dad and vocally condemned his father’s actions.
Both Boatman and Feuerriegel delivered exceptional performances, perfectly capturing the raw emotions of the scene. Boatman brilliantly showcased Johnny’s heartbreak, disgust, shock, and anger.
Phenomenal, outstanding, and powerful are just a few words to describe the performances of these talented actors. Kudos to Carson Boatman for delivering such an exceptional performance. Well done!
