Days of Our Lives
Rafe questions Kate and “Hope” after walking on their fight. Abe and John mull over Celeste’s vision of Stefano. Abby goes to see JJ in the hospital and works to convince him that he needs to be surrounded by his family. Kayla still couldn’t shake the things that Kate said to her about Steve. Justin took it upon himself to stand up for his girlfriend against Kate. Marlena went to check on Kate and found Stefano’s ring on her desk. Kate told her that it came from Andre. Eve and Hattie got a Christmas surprise when they were both released from prison. Eve interrupted the Horton get together to announce that she was leaving town. And Hattie found herself a place to stay with Marlena. Though John isn’t too happy about their new guest. JJ leaves the hospital to spend time with his family. Xander makes the trip to Boston to spend the holiday with Sarah.
Ciara found a way to visit Ben without alarming Victor thanks to some help from Marlena. Sonny and Ari invite Evan and David to come with them to the Christmas party at the hospital. Kayla talks with Roman about feeling like she is cheating on Steve being with Justin. Roman’s plans on being Santa for the party are ruined when his suit goes missing. Stefano took the suit to dress up to be near his queen. Even slipping her a little present into her purse. Kayla has a strange feeling watching the Santa and starts to confront him thinking it may be Steve. Luckily for him, Kate who had figured out his plan called for a distraction to get Stefano out of the hospital. Xander comforts Sarah before she has to go back to the hospital and gives her a bracelet from his lockbox. Sarah notices that the box was similar to the one Ciara had.
Brady spends the day with Nicole and Holly. And they explain to Holly why Eric isn’t around at the moment. He brings her back home after she has one too many at the pub and she kisses him…right in front of Kristen. Hattie goes to visit Roman and tells him that she is thinking about staying in Salem. He reluctantly gives her the open waitress job at the pub. She excitedly goes upstairs to tell Kate and gets the surprise of Patch minus the patch. Kate and Stefano cover by telling her that Steve is on a mission for the ISA and no one can know that he is there or they will all be in trouble. Kristen tells Chad that she hasn’t decided on who she will give her shares to, but is surprised to learn from him that Stefano is alive. Lani snuck into the DiMera mansion looking for something to disable the pacemaker app but gets a show from Eli and Gabi instead. She leaves and takes her anger out on the Gabi Chic storefront.
The Young and the Restless
Chance reaches out to Paul on information about working in private investigation. Traci and Jack invite Theo over and share some memories of holiday traditions. Devon surprises Elena with a trip to London. Theo confronts Summer about her lingering feelings for Kyle as she realizes that he has feelings for Lola. Billy hides his downward spiral from Jack when he comes to him with his concerns. Nick invited Phyllis to spend the holiday with him and Summer, but when she discovered that Adam would be there she backed out. Nick pushed her to tell him why and was surprised when she told him what Adam had asked her to do. Lola called out Kyle for constantly bringing up Theo. Faith returned for the holidays and spent some quality time with her sisters.
Chance tells Adam that he is staying in town and doesn’t want to be a reminder of things they want to forget. Phyllis overhears their conversation and tries to use it against Adam, but Chance wants nothing to do with her. Adam makes a call to ensure that a mystery woman is still being paid for her silence. Christine and Lauren had to make sure Paul and Michael remembered the true meaning of their friendship. Amanda apologized to Phyllis for how she came off during their last meeting. Rey wonders how much of Sharon’s concern for Connor is about Adam.
A wrench was thrown in Victoria and Billy’s plans when he has to stay in town to deal with a work emergency. He skips out as soon as possible from family dinner to meet up with Amanda. Adam, wanting to avoid spending the holiday with Nick, asks Chelsea to come with him and Connor to Hope’s farm. Summer finds Theo avoiding spending time with the Abbotts by working over the holiday. Adam tells Chelsea how he really feels about her and she tells him that she is in love with Nick. Fenmore returns home from rehab. Jack, Traci, and Ashley bring Dina home to open presents and share a beautiful family moment.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Hope tells Liam that he has nothing to worry about as Thomas fantasizes about her. Steffy warned Zoe that she only reason she is back at Forrester is to help them determine if Thomas is still obsessing over Hope. Brooke is upset to learn that Hope agreed to work with Thomas and tried her best to make Ridge believe that he is dangerous. Thomas calls a meeting for his family to ease their minds about him. Liam talks with Wyatt about Hope working with Thomas. Steffy and Sally are hard at work on their designs for the showdown.
Brooke confronted Steffy about hiring Zoe back. Steffy fills her in on their plan to use Zoe as a go-between with Thomas. Hope tells Zoe that she will never be able to get past her betrayal. Douglas has a sweet moment with Hope and his father after seeing them work together. But later on, Hope felt uncomfortable with how close Thomas was to her while working on a design. She warned him to not use their partnership as a way to make a move on her. Steffy tells Sally that everyone is focusing on Hope’s feelings and that Liam is usually forgotten about. Brooke tells Liam that she doesn’t feel like Steffy and Zoe can be objective enough for their plan to work. Hope takes Douglas for the night as Thomas sets up a romantic evening for him and Zoe. On their date, Zoe asks him if he is serious about her or if she is just a distraction from who he really wants.
General Hospital
The residents of Port Charles gathered to listen to Monica read the Christmas story at the hospital and ended up stranded due to a storm. The cast was transported into the story of A Christmas Carol. Sonny was concerned when Gladys came to take Mike out of the home for a while. Their plans were ruined when Mike had a meltdown over Yvonne being gone in the hospital. Sonny at the request of Mike invites Gladys over for the holidays. Franco was upset to learn that he as Drew slept with Kim. Anna fills Finn in on the evidence she found against Peter. She is upset when Finn suggests that she turn him into Robert. Peter asks Maxie to quit calling him a hero. Brook Lynn and Julian spend some time together talking about Lucas and Leo.
Michael gets to Willow in time before she let Nelle hold Wiley. Violet started asking where Hayden was. Tracy returned home and was surprised by Monica’s renovations. The Quartermaines gathered for the holiday. Nelle returned to her cell with the hopes of annoying Sam. But Sam was given a great gift as she was released on parole. Alexis and the kids were surprised to see Jason bring her through the door. Trina tells Joss that she believes Dev has feelings for her. Jordan received a call that a friend from her past had died. Tracy suggested that Brook Lynn get more involved with ELQ.
Our Performer of the Week is The Young and the Restless’ Zach Tinker (Fenmore)!
It was such a treat to have Fen and Zach back for the holidays! Fen is fresh out of rehab and ready to spend time with his family. He gave Michael and Lauren a present of a compass to symbolize where he was and where he is going. Zach’s performance was beautiful and heartfelt as Fen thanked his parents for being there for him throughout his recovery. It was a wonderful scene and it just makes us want more! Can we please keep him?!
Our Honorable Mention of the week is Days of Our Lives’ Casey Moss (JJ)!
Casey Moss is a brilliant actor! His talent always surprises us, especially during the emotional scenes. Seeing JJ open up to his family about his struggles with addiction was touching. We can’t wait to see what happens with JJ’s story next as he continues to fight his demons.
