This past week on The Young & The Restless, Victoria
Newman Locke (Ameila Heinle) realized that her husband, Ashland Locke had been
lying to her about his cancer diagnosis thanks to the help of her family. Nikki, Victor, Nick, and Adam held an
intervention for Victoria; they wanted her to finally see that Ashland had been
lying and is only after the family company.
Victoria didn’t want to believe them because that would mean that
Ashland was never in love with her.
Heinle did a phenomenal job of showing someone who desperately doesn’t
want to face the truth about their partner’s lies. Victoria is typically composed so getting to
see Heinle show ranges of emotion this week was a treat for fans! Heinle’s tone in her voice showed how badly
Victoria didn’t want to face reality.
Fans could sense that Victoria felt like her back was against the wall
and was forced to see what was in front of her.
When Victoria tries to leave, Adam makes one final attempt to reach
through to her. Victoria doesn’t think
Adam has her best interest at heart, so when he attempts to bond and empathize
with her by mentioning he knows what she might be going through based on what
he experienced with Chelsea; Heinle’s facial expressions alone showed that
Victoria started to believe her family about Ashland. Her face softened and her sad eyes showed how
Victoria’s heart was starting to break.
Heinle showed just how shattered Victoria felt when Ashland decided to
walk away when she confronted him as Victoria embraced her mother afterward in
tears. Heinle shows that although
Victoria is a strong, independent, powerful businesswoman, she wants what
everyone else wants: love. Victoria
thought she finally had that in Ashland and the realization that their relationship
was based off of lies is devastating.
Victoria catches Billy (Jason Thompson) up to speed and Heinle shows how
hard Victoria is struggling to keep her composure. It’s understandable that Victoria doesn’t
want to be kicked while she’s down and she doesn’t want Billy to rub it in her
face that he was right about Ashland. Heinle
& Thompson share touching scenes where Billy is hurt to see Victoria
hurting and that all he wants is for her to be happy. He reminds her that she can trust him. They are concerned what Ashland is capable of
if he wants Victoria out of the picture.
Ashland runs into them which was a great cliffhanger. Fans can’t wait to see what happens next!

meet her first. It turns out to be Diane
Jenkins, but she introduces herself to Allie as Taylor Jenson. Jack fills in Billy about Allie. Traci and Billy disagree when it comes to
Allie; Traci thinks Jack should respect her space whereas Billy thinks Jack
should reach out right away. After

work and offers to go for coffee, but tells her there is no pressure to decide
right away. Allie is initially upset

initially turns the idea down after still being upset over what happened with

but Elena tries to keep the peace. She
thinks it’s a good idea for Nate to work with them and she tells Lily and Devon
that he will be okay, he just needs time.

buying back the penthouse. Elena is
surprised, but agrees to moving in there with him. Nate also agrees to working with Lily and
Devon. Chelsea chats with Rey about

Lauren confronts Victor about not being truthful about Michael. He tries to convince her that everything will
be fine. Victor, Nikki, Nick, and Adam
stage an intervention for Victoria. She’s
initially upset that her family wants her to break up with Ashland, thinking
that Victor’s main concern is the family company. After hearing the evidence they have, thanks
to Nate, she finally starts to believe they are telling her the truth. Ashland arrives and is upset that she is
contemplating siding with her family. So
he breaks things off with her. By doing
so, this cements to Victoria that he must have been lying all along and she is
devastated. She later runs into Billy
and fills him in. He’s hurt to see her
hurting. Considering Ashland went after
the company and is co-CEO, Victoria voices her concern that she’s not sure how
far he’d go to get her out of the way.
Ashland runs into them at Crimson Lights.

off not knowing about his father’s past and just be grateful he has him in his

Curtis isn’t able to do so and wants to know what Drew found out:
Marshall lived out of the country under his real name. Which is suspicious considering Marshall said
he’s been living in witness protection.

isn’t rattled by him. He later takes

pregnant and asks her to take the test, but she refuses to. Spencer fills in Cameron about Esme breaking
up with him and possibly being pregnant.
He tells Cam that he thinks Esme is responsible for the revenge porn
video, but doesn’t want her to go to prison if she’s pregnant with his
child. Cam reminds him to not worry
until he knows for sure if she’s even pregnant.
After Esme leaves, she smirks. She later runs into Nikolas and asks for his
help.
Trina and Joss make up and get their friendship back on
track. Joss tells Trina she thinks Esme’s
intention was to always break their friendship up. Jordan informs Dante that she doesn’t want
him working on the Joss & Cam case.
